The Brown Bear - Sheffield - Photo album

They're a bit too strict about their digital detox policy but you can't complain when the beer is £3. Very local and traditional vibe, unique spot serving Samuel Smith beers.
Good, inexpensive beer, wonderful, unique atmosphere, highly recommend!!
Restored town centre pub with clean interior and very welcoming staff. A pleasant experience
I love it in here. Very traditional. No phones. Good prices. Tried to take a photo, but dropped my wine glass in the process! Well worth a visit.
Near the crucible, this local pub which is one of the oldest in Sheffield, is still selling pints and keeping to its old fashioned charm. I bought 2 pints from here and the bar staff were friendly and quick to help with any questions I had about the drinks. You see they serve some lagers I have no
Great little pub for a night out, no music or other distractions so you can just sit and chat.
Nice pub...nice to sit in a pub where phones etc are not allowed as well as swearing ..encourages people to talk
Traditional pub, centrally located. Clean and nice decor. Very good service. Customers encouraged not to sit on their phones, which was refreshing.
TIME WARP. If you want to go back to the 1900s for a pint then come here. It's a Sam Smiths pub so there usual selection of beers at reasonable prices. Lovely decor and fun atmosphere; some may find it a little 'rough around the edges' but it's not that bad. Giving 4 starts as it's cash only.
It's a really lovely traditional Sheffield pub. Recommended if you like chat not IT devices
This is a perfect place to hide from the world as no electric devices allowed
The one aspect of the bar is no electronic devices, you can talk , very nice bar and very friendly
Lovely little pub, doesn't seem to have changed much in the 30 or so years since I first came here. Conversation encouraged and mobile phones discouraged. All Sam Smith's on draught, so forget your fosters and Carling etc nonsense.
Old fashioned pub, but friendly and welcoming. Seating in the yard at the rear if the weather's hot. Always a good pint from Samuel Smith, but sadly they don't stock new fangled styles like the IPA.
Nice quiet but busy Pub very reasonably priced drinks. There is a sign dissuading the use of mobile phones and they only take cash which is brilliant well done 👏🙂🚴
