Called in for lunch and the fish and chips for £10 were beautiful and cooked to perfection, loved the mushy peas and Tartar sauce. Staff realy friendly and polite, everything was realy clean and covid friendly. Perfect lunch stop. Highly recommended.
Well worth a visit! It was a last minute decision to book here but it was well worth it. The food was really tasty and well presented. The staff had a good balance of attentiveness to us even though the restaurant was busy. The prices are very reasonable.
Equidistant for 4 parts of the family so the perfect meeting place.
1 of the family are coeliac and so require a gluten free option which they are happy to provide.

Fantastic experience. We called in without reservation and seated straight away with 2 youngsters. Service was second to none, and empty plates all round.

Really enjoyed our brunch, I ordered the 2 eggs 2 sides, and opted for fried eggs, sausage, and chorizo.
The others all went with the small fish and chips, and were very happy with it. Would definitely go again if we're in the area, good food at a pretty decent price!
This place is GOOD. Just had a near perfect meal.* Excellent menu, food is lovely and piping hot. The service is just right. Enough cheese and biscuits for 3 people for £7.95!

Went with some friends who live local to McGilveray's....first impressions on walking in was a warm feel and a great smell of lovely food.
Plenty of staff to keep everyone happy without having to get someones attention for more drinks, they came to the table often to ask if we were ok.
