Very pleased to report this pub is open again for business. Visited today, after a funeral. I have visited this pub over the last 40 years & can say, with some degree of accuracy, it hasn't changed. Unsure if food us available, but the staff are friendly enough. The prices don't appear to have gone
Went in with my friend a couple of months ago and although on first entering was a bit put off by a few regulars went in a little bar at the side and had a really tasty, obviously spankingly fresh home made lunch. Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere. Wanted to have lunch again not long ago but unfo
Really fancied a hearty meal and a good pint after my trip up North from Brighton. Phil and Linda certainly stepped up to the plate. A couple of nice pints of Sam Smiths and a Pie and chips meal of great quality! What a nice welcome also from The locals and the owners. Would highly recommend. Thanks
Nice and relaxed 👍 no phones or anything just social conversation it's nice to see instead of people sat on there phones texting each other from across the table.... Staff nice, beer great what more can I say... Lovely pub
A traditional Sam Smiths pub with homemade food and a range of ales, along with great value for money. The food in particular is a highlight and portion sizes are generous. Never disappointed and if you are looking for a quick stop while walking in the area, I recommend popping in.
Great Local rustic pub, Good atmosphere without the need for music and everyone on their phones. Lovely open fires and good well priced beer and spirits.
This is a beautiful country pub situated on the border of Grenoside. It has an open fire, and several rooms to sit. The food is amazing and the Samual Smiths beer is £2 a pint! What more could you possibly ask for?
Food was really nice and portion sizes was fair. Staff were friendly, just make sure you take cash as they don't accept card payments and don't allow use of phones inside.
Great pub with lovely traditional interior and view over the city from the beer garden. And getting change from a fiver for two pints of lovely Tadcaster brewed Sam Smith's beer helps too!
Great to be able to drop in after the long shut down. Lovely food menu and friendly atmosphere.
Nice country themed pub with a no swearing policy. (Nice) Nice outdoor area for when it's hot and nice open fires indoors that are lit when it's cold. (Cosy)
