We visited for my son's 15th birthday, I apologised as we were 15 minutes late, the staff couldn't have been nicer. The atmosphere was brilliant, service even better, little things like the waitress recognising my partner didn't have a steak knife (my son had pinched it) and bringing another over AND taking the one she had been using away instead of leaving it cluttering the table, the food was amazing, from my chowder to the steaks and even the birthday boy's pizza! Well done guys, food and service like this costs a lot more than my bill elsewhere, keep it up please, we'll be back!

Been here a couple of times for breakfast. Really good food. Great selection of Gins . Dog friendly. Great staff. Would highly recommend. One criticism need better glasses for gin and tonic. Don't like it served in wine glasses.

We used the outdoor cafe area, rather than the pub. Had a good coffee, milkshakes, and smoothies out facing the park. Would happily come back :) Friendly staff were preparing the drinks outside and open for a chat... Which made the service a bit slow. The menu looks extensive and looking forward to come back for lunch soon!

I had a vegan pizza and my fellow dinner had a steak pie. Both delicious. Lovely to see a mix of family, some playing the pubs game and on people with well behaved dogs. Would definitely go again.

We chose the Waggon and Horses as the venue for the wake following our dad's funeral. We really can't fault our experience. Ellen and the team were so accommodating, flexible and supportive right from the start. We had half the pub for our sole use, with our own toilets. The room and the toilets were clean and the room had a cosy feel yet easily accommodated a large number of guests. The cold buffet looked and tasted great. We were looked after really well at what was a very difficult time.

Great pub the staff are sooo friendly, very knowledgeable about the beers and have great rapport with all the customers. Have tried the food twice pizza burnt and no pizza cutter as apparently 'they have been stolen' and burger (one beef and one chicken) both dry and served with burnt chips. Not being awful but we are chefs so know the difference between good bad. Anyway we still go and have drinks as the team are welcoming and the options on the bar are varied and served well. Clean and tidy inside and out.

Impromptu Sunday lunch - absolutely delicious food. Quick and very efficient service too which is a winner with a 5 year old. Adults had beef shoulder Sunday lunch and my son had the pizza. Would highly recommend

Visited after a family memorial service and arrived very early but staff were extremely kind and found us a table. Excellent food and service. Lovely relaxed cosy atmosphere . Would really recommend.

I had a really delicious gluten free house burger today. They were ace with allergen understanding and despite being super busy (due to the teachers strike) with loads of unexpected family diners the staff were positive, polite and efficient. Having worked in the service industry for over twenty years myself I can confidently say the team did a great job. Superb all round.

Went for a Sunday Roast, good service, good food. Not necessarily the cheapest place but is good value for money. Left feeling full. It has Vegan Sunday Roast options which is rare. Right next to a lovely park for a stroll too which is great.

Being a regular customer, I have nothing but glowing praise for all members of staff employed here, especially Chloe and Wolf, plus the entire management team. Staff who served our group on 8th May were exceptionally well versed on the menu options overall and also knew what was suitable for my wife who has coeliacs disease and what items were no longer available when ordering. Most reassuring was that the allergy warnings were taken seriously and the appropriate advice and caveat was provided at the point of taking our order. Thank you for making the experience thoroughly enjoyable for
