A visit to meadowhall wouldn't be complete without eating in the oasis dining court and our pick is always Tasty Plaice who by far does the best chips in the country in my opinion. It's great value, cooked fresh and has all the usual chip shop options including kebab meat. I went for a battered sausage, chips, gravy and peas with a helping of batter bits (scraps) and the portion size is enough to fill, add a fizzy drink and it's a complete meal for under a tenner (at time of writing). Staff are friendly and it's we'll run, the queue's are kept to a minimum and service is near instant. Cannot fault and will be back again for sure

Rob & Nut's customer service was amazing; they always served customers with a smile, and the food was delicious, especially the chips. The business owner was always present to guarantee that the food was prepared fresh and that customers were served on time. The price was also extremely affordable.
Served by friendly staff member, ordered just chips. Served quickly with fresh hot chips. They are coated in batter that gives them a lovely taste and good crunch.
Definitely recommend and will return for more!

Come here regularly because their chips are amazing!! I always have haddock and the hubster has cod plus battered sausage and we are always full. The server we had was really friendly and explained why the chips were so good, if you want to know you’ll have to visit !!! Perfect late lunch/early dinner as they are fried to order and piping hot, highly recommend
The food is really good. Traditional fish and chips, with a slight twist. The coating on the chips is really tasty. Out of all the food venders in Meadowhall, this is my top choice.
Highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Kebab on a Naan bread.
The staff seem to enjoy working there too. Always friendly.

Cracking fish bites chips and curry / peas. £7.99 each. Lovely hot and tasty. Very busy today in the Oasis. Queue for food but service carried out with a smile.
A bit more pricey than most fish & chips shops but fills the hole. Haddock is never ready so got cod instead, it was nice.
The blonde girl with glasses served me. She was really lovely and patient. Excellent customer service - will definitely come back :)
Only fish and chip shop I know of that does veggie battered sausage. I travel 20 mins just to come here.
