Booked this place for a friend visiting for the night. He joined my wife and I for our dinner in the pub and we ate the most amazing Home Made Meat & Potato Pie fresh from the oven with fresh vegetables at an unbelievable price £8.95 for a massive plate.

Fab old fashioned pub, used by across section of the community. Proper home cooked food, friendly atmosphere with live music on Saturday nights. Long may it continue.

We stayed here for a wedding near by. We are so happy we chose The Old Crown. The staff were incredibly helpful! The two ladies even helped me in my dress and when I say helped I mean they didn’t give up and wouldn’t let me give up! It was an effort. Honestly went above and beyond, in fact everyone

Comfortable rooms, plenty of hot water, tea and coffee too.
Standard pub food but good quality, big portions and not expensive.
Nice friendly bar, cheap beer, plenty to chose from. Always seems busy with mixed crowd. Everyone happy to ch
Stayed in one of the rooms for a few nights and made very welcome. The pub is traditional, good home cooked food, especially the meat and potato pie and a good selection of real ales
Good fresh home cooked no frills food, friendly service and good value, we ordered 2 steak and ale pie and 1 scampi, everyone enjoyed

I stayed for 3 nights & knew when I first walked in It was a friendly place. There was a bit of noise in the evening but never worried me. If you want a quiet time stay in a country hotel. I can recommend it as they were all very friendly. The food was very good & the rooms were clean.
Great little pub run by a great landlady also serves excellent food at good prices. They have entertainment on a Saturday night so can get quite busy with a mix of young and old.
My wife and I stayed here for the first time this weekend and after a long day in Sheffield City centre, we was very very welcoming and polite and friendly staff and Janet the pub Owner and her staff showed us to our room, that was warm and cosy and comfortable with mem foam bed tv and a smart bat
