The Oid Grindstone - Sheffield - Photo album

Lovely little pub, good atmosphere. Definitely will visit again when I'm next in Sheffield. The food was good, I had the smoked chicken and I'm not a fan of smoked food normally (personal preference), but it did grow on me. I also had brownie and ice cream for pud and it was awesome. Definitely reco
A great local Crookes pub, some super offers on student nights too! Start your bar crawl here and head up to Crookes via the bars and pubs and you’ll have great night! Good selection of lagers and beers - an all round good pub - oh and it has a pool table too - oh and it has karaoke too 🎤 🎶
My favourite pub in Sheffield! Large selection of drinks including fairly priced cocktails, good food menu with a variety of options available. It also has a pool table, several TVs and even some board games, and is dog friendly. It's definitely worth the trip up to Crookes!
A great pub at the end of Crookes before you walk down to Broomhill. The atmosphere is friendly, with some great beers on tap and lovely food on the menu to boot. For those wanting a game of pool there is a table towards the back of the pub, with many screens for people wanting to watch the sport.
Great pub, and a very good place to eat too. Decent selection of beers and spirits. The smokehouse food offering is excellent. Simple and honest, but overall tasty. You could really taste the smoke on the ribs. Good portions, good value. Good range of TVs and pool tables, but also some quiet nook
Nice place. I was very impressed that the menu had multiple vegan options available, and I had the vegan sausage and mash (comes with two bangers and gravy) while my mam had swordfish steak. Maybe a little spenny for the quality but pleasant nonetheless. Beer selection was impressive and the atmosph
Really nice pub. Good beer, good staff, good location. We walked down from the top of crookes on a crawl and ended up here. Then dropped to Broomhill to finish off. Lovely walk. Staff here were lovely and the place is nice and clean.
My dog thinks the chairs are too tall and feels isolated on the floor below, the bar staff are fantastical, and the food is scrumptious
Beer was good quality and place clean and large. Staff were friendly and the place had a nice vibe, even if we did go in a little late and many had left.
Large open planned bar with pool table and TV'S. Excellent real ale. I had Bradfield's seasonal Belgian Blue. Friendly staff. Paulicarus came back for Christmas.
Jason was absolutely amazing performing, loved the night, food was fantastic 😍
Not my type of food but good at what it does. Great student bar but also a decent place for locals.
Great pub which seems to tick most boxes. I think they need a little work on anything else but burgers, but hey...
Good pub food. Comforting and delicious. Good service. Love the energy of the stuff. Would make it my regular pub but live in Toronto, Canada.
Loved so close but first time coming in. Very big inside with great beers on tap and lovely menu.
Great pub, full of character. I'll definitely be returning.
Third time lucky. The best set-up following a few management changes. The usual great beer and music with big screens and sports now - feels like they've hit the nail on the head. Hopefully our new local if it keeps it up.
Nice food. We both had a sandwich: chopped cheese, a kind off Philly cheesesteak affair and a pulled brisket. Both on decent bread. The hand pulled Grindstone pale was in absolutely Tip-top condition.
Nice pub but pints can be very pricey compared to all the others in the area
