Nowt special. Just a proper, standard, estate pub. Good, basic, value pub grub. Well kept ales. Meticulously clean, pleasant and accommodating staff, good local clientele.

Nestled a lot closer to Dronfied and Sheffield than I thought this is a great boozer with a good outdoor space and rooms for drinking and dining inside. Whilst we had an issue with our food on the day, this was well dealt with by the manager. Good variety of drinks on offer and the perfect stopping

Had the mixed grill, came out exactly as ordered, in-laws and fiancé had the carvery And they said it was very nice. The beer garden is a great feature and really relaxing. The meals have improved so much since the end of the pandemic and service as always was amazing.
Lovely food, brilliant staff, clean and friendly, you're missing out if you don't visit, beautiful history too.
