Fantastic beer garden, been a couple of times since the refurbishment already. First for a relaxing post work pint & again for their live music event featuring Indigo where it was certainly a more livelier atmosphere.
The new landlord, Gary was very welcoming & devilered a great service.

Nowt special. Just a proper, standard, estate pub. Good, basic, value pub grub. Well kept ales. Meticulously clean, pleasant and accommodating staff, good local clientele.
First visit... Delicious food, although a slightly reduced menu due to a change of ownership soon.

I've known about this pub for a while now and has been on my to do list for a while.
So what better time to visit than on Spitfire day the 5th March when the Spitfire first took flight in 1936.

We went for my sons birthday so there was quite a large party. Our table was all ready on arrival. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Our waitress was lovely. And the food was lovely too. We all really enjoyed it

Nestled a lot closer to Dronfied and Sheffield than I thought this is a great boozer with a good outdoor space and rooms for drinking and dining inside.
Whilst we had an issue with our food on the day, this was well dealt with by the manager.

Had the mixed grill, came out exactly as ordered, in-laws and fiancé had the carvery And they said it was very nice. The beer garden is a great feature and really relaxing. The meals have improved so much since the end of the pandemic and service as always was amazing.
Lovely food, brilliant staff, clean and friendly, you're missing out if you don't visit, beautiful history too.
