I visited this wonderful Cafe about a week ago with my Dad who is almost 97 and has Alzheimer's. We have been enjoying the experience of the hospitality at "Remember When" for over 18 months now.
Last Friday the owner was away but the Cafe was really buzzing. I noticed that Magdalena - one of the staff - seemed to really have everything under control. When I asked her about all the folk helping out in the kitchen, and there were quite a few of them, she explained that they were mostly customers who had willingly volunteered to help when asked because the Cafe was so busy and there weren't enough staff. Well done to finding creative solutions Magda!
It was great to see the teamwork and people enjoying sitting both inside and outside in the sunshine. We were outside and it was a shame we had to leave the place soon after 2pm. This was because all the staff have children to collect from school.
Even though Ruth, the owner, was away she still managed to bless both my Dad and myself as we thoroughly enjoyed the beetroot and radish soup she had made.
The food at Remember When is absolutely amazing, out of this world and delicious. I had a salad and it was by far the best salad I've had for many, many year's. The coffee was fabulous and served in individual coffee pot's. This place is totally and utterly a little Gem. I will definitely be going again ( a lot) .
Such a wonderful little cafe with plenty going on. Love the event days/nights. My grandpa is a massive fan!
Fantastic service. Good atmosphere. Food absolutely beautiful and fresh. Prices reasonable. Portions good. Glad someone told us about it a gem of a find x
A lovely cafe with an eclectic mix of furniture and tea wear. Friendly and welcoming with a warm atmosphere and blankets on the backs of chairs if you need something extra.
The scone I had was delicious, the quiche my friend had was very tasty too. Nice big pots of tea and dainty China tea cups and saucers.
Never been here before but had seen it featured in the local papers
We’d taken our dog for his six monthly check-up at the vets round the corner so it seemed an opportune time to visit.
We sat in the pretty garden with the fidgety dog and enjoyed a gratis glass of water with orange then a cafetière of good coffee followed by a great cheese omelette!
It was lovely - we watched the beer being delivered at the pub opposite and a red admiral on the buddleia - a small slice of friendly Sheffield life in S12!
Itcwas our first time and we had afternoon tea and it was lovely. The atmosphere was calming and the service was first class. Will definitely be going again.
We first found Remember When cafe through our daughter, who took us for a bit of lunch.
We have returned with our two friends for lunch.
The food is amazing, very friendly staff and really good value for money.
