Had a great meal here for my birthday last year, so I wanted to come back this year. The food is amazing, the service was brilliant and it had a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely come back again next year. They were lovely with my niece, who is a little firecracker, too.

The quality of food was great, but the quantity of meat (beef and lamb) provided was not! Miniscule portions!!! Restricted choice of desserts available, . Also, we arrived at 5.55pm for a 6pm booking, yet it was 6.38pm before we sat down to eat (6.45pm for my partner, who had a gluten free meal plated up for her.) This was totally unacceptable. Waitress was very polite and apologetic, but being short staffed in the kitchen made our visit memorable for the wrong reasons.

It was very good as usual! It was for my birthday and I treated myself to a King Size carvery! It was worth it! The staff are always friendly! I had a great time and will go again! It is unlikely I will be back before the New Year, as I am having Xmas dinner elsewhere this year! But maybe next year... I will see!

Toby carvery is excellent value for money good portions of meat and plenty of fresh vegetables and the gravy is really good plenty of accompanying sauce also 👌 situated on busy main road near a roundabout but loads of free parking and disabled parking spaces on line they have been doing some very good offers for o a ps etc which is excellent in this cost of living crisis the staff are very nice and couldn't be more helpful 😀went again this evening rain had come into part of the restaurant unfortunately the meal tonight wasn't up to tobys very high standards meat wasn't as good as usual 6 of us dined 3 they didn't charge us for I think it's just a blip caused by roof damage maybe close until its fixed who can say but I am confident the next time I go it will be back to being as delicious as it always as been

Great place for dinner with family. We visited Thursday night and the food was excellent as was the service from everyone we encountered. Thank you for an amazing family birthday meal.

Went with my partner to enjoy their famous carvery, arrived waited 5 minutes before anyone saw us to the table. Understandable it was a busy Saturday afternoon, ordered drinka nf was told had to wait 10 minutes before we could queue, eventually went ourselves to queue, went back tot he table to discover drink weren't to be found, had to chase 2 waitress down to find out where our drinks where. Took ages in getting bill. The poor waitress did an amazing job doing multiple tasks at once but wish more staff were there, especially friendlier staff, as some seemed to be in grumpy moods which was very off putting.

I will continue to visit Toby carvery dronfield because it is the closest to me and with regard to the food quality, it is always consistent and enjoyable. However, it is with regret that on this visit, we would question the professionalism of one of your team members. My partner and I arrived on time for our booking and the front of house member of staff showed us to a table which wasn't to our liking, and this was only because there were other people sat in the same area in very close proximity with regards to the table spacing. So I very politely asked the member of the team if we could perhaps sit elsewhere, bearing in mind that this would be a relatively quick visit and the venue was practically empty. We were then giving the choice of where we wish to sit and we found a table that was suitable. We then went up for our carvery and whilst waiting in the queue my partner was privy to a conversation between the front of house member of staff who had shown us to our table and another waitress. Presumably they were just doing some sort of check in with regards to where tables were at, who need a drinks etc. But my partner overheard her say that " the people at table 16 are a bit funny"! That was us. He promptly asked the member of staff if it was us that she was talking about and the look on her face said it all. She wanted to discuss the matter but to be honest we were so perplexed as to why she felt the need to make these comments, but also angry that they were in earshot of ourselves. The lady also wanted to apologize but I'm afraid at that point the damage was done; that conversation should never have happened. My partner and I are realists and we appreciate that everybody is entitled to an opinion on everybody else, but in the hospitality setting, and I'm sure you will agree, that being privy to a conversation of such negative connotation about ourselves, was not the experience that we had envisaged. We had a very simple request and that was to sit in an area that was suitable for us, and if that makes us funny then I can live with that. Don't give me the option if there isn't one.

Brill food, definitely one of the best carveries I've had in a while. All meat was really tender (gammon beef pork) and the server was nice ☺️ mash and the carrot/potato bake were a highlight! Would come again!
