Love the fireplace in the winter. Great service, huge open main drinking area with huge windows looking over their bowling green and bear garden and a smaller more quiet drinking area just off the main entrance. I do not go here often it's a 20 minute walk home uphill lol but I have enjoyed my time
Large pub on a very busy corner. Small bar on one side with Taylor's Landlord on hand pump. Luckily Boothroyd tried the other Lounge door where the big bar and room has 4 real ales. Fantastic Valentines meal hosted by the fabulous staff at the Abbey. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable as always. Thank you for another wonderful evening! ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous so tasty probably the best onion gravy ever and nice sausages.
Beautiful meal, not sure about the salad on a board, prefer a plate .(kept falling off ), but the hunter's chicken was lovely love the fries too
As a family we love this place. Staff are amazing, Em and Steve make time for everyone and ensure everyone feels so welcome. This is deffo one of our favourite weekend places.

Great little local, not had food so unable to comment. Huge beer garden to the rear and plenty of parking.

My car broke down and we were pushed my a true samaritan to the carpark of the Abbey pub we asked would it be OK if we could stay in there carpark waiting for the AA the bar maid was lovely and concerned we were ok she was very nice and gave permission we enjoyed a nice drink lovely old styl
Lovely meal and nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and the menu has a nice range of different foods to try. Parking is good outside and they have a nice function room upstairs with seperate toilets to the pub downstairs. We had my nans wake here and even the buffet food was great and the staff
