Two visitors from Ireland to Yorkshire were most impressed by the offering at The Proud Potato: large potatoes with generous fillings ably served by two very cheerful young Yorkshire lasses. A little out of the way from central Sheffield, but well worth getting to ! Anne Marie and Noel

I have been going to the Proud potato for Decades now they have always had great service and simply amazing potatoes and toppings.
However over the last year the staff are not as chatty as they used to be! I'm guessing that's due to the pandemic and as it's one in one out service to minimize spread
3 x large potatoes for our family tea yesterday, really hit the spot (I read the reviews saying they are not big enough, we went large and very happy/filling meal).
Absolutely gorgeous food here, and the large ones are so big you can barely even finish them, great value for money and the quality of the food is top notch you can tell it's all homemade. I personally recommend either the bolognase or chilli with cheese on a spud!

Such a nice alternative to your everyday take away. Really enjoyed my chilli jacket. The lady behind the counter was wonderful, helpful and friendly! Will be back! 🙄💖
