Ideal local pub, very friendly and has every facility necessary.
Food menu is good with prices about average.
We were only in Woodseats for one day. We called into the Big Tree late on a Saturday lunchtime for meals and drinks, k owing nothing about the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Between the three of us, we had Lasagne, Steak, and a mixed grill, all were good - not special, but not bad, portion sizes were quite generous. There were a few menu items that we wanted that were not available; the place was busy, so we put it down to the items being very popular. Food prices were quite reasonable. Football on the TV screens was a bit loud, and with football not being our thing, it became a bit of a distraction. But overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we would go back.
Alice at The Big Tree arranged a buffet for our family members after attending a funeral, the spread that was put on for us was perfect for what we asked for and although it was a sad occasion we All enjoyed meeting up at The Big Tree and would highly recommend it for any occasions. A big thank you to Alice and staff for all your efforts.
Went into this pub as another chain had no food availability
Staff where very polite and friendly and we only had to wait 20 mins for our lovely food to come out
We then spent a further two hours enjoying the atmosphere and having a few more drinks

Okay, friendly and service, didn't try any of the food, but it's a Green King establishment. I've eaten at a similar place before so I know what I would be going

A good place for food and or drink. They also do Sunday Lunch, but sometimes they get fully booked, so check online before going?!
Great buzz in there, the menu is bit like a harvester if you like them. Family friendly food at a reasonable price. I would recommend going there for dinner. Don’t have to wait long. Use their app to order and pay, it worked well for us.
The only thing I would say was my wife wanted sweet potato chips instead of regular chips & on the app there was no option to make a comment so I would suggest looking into adding a comment section in the app.
