Absolutely tasty food, the carvery meals are gorgeous and so is the afters, the ice cream strawberry sundae is sheer heaven and its also topped off with cream and shortbread, beautiful!
Took the family last night 5pm for the pizza offer, got seated down easily and we all ordered the Calzone Carvery Pizza which came in 10 minutes of ordering. Was lovely, definitely order this pizza again.👌
Great carvery as always. Staff always happy to help. Even though the queue to pay was long, it moved fairly quickly.
Chips weren’t cooked properly again though with the burger that we ordered.
We went on a Sunday as a large group. Half the group wanted a carvery and half didn't so it was a perfect fit.
You can order via an app which skips the queue. The non carvery food came really quick and the carvery is very much like Toby Carvery where you go and help yourself. The food was definitely value for money and everyone was happy at the end of the meal.
The service was excellent, all the staff were lovely and friendly.
A very warm welcome to The Moorlands, which has pleasant décor. After being seated we placed chose our food from the menu, and ordered at the bar where Lawrence who was serving had a lovely smile and demeanour. The food ordered was served quite quickly, and the carvery was collected at the deck. There was a great chef named Dave, who was cheery and polite. He served from a variety of meats, and then one chooses their of veg from a well supplied and variety.
The tables are set out giving one adequate space around. Attentive servers came to check all was as one would expect and provided any extra sauces etc as requested. They cleared the tables when necessary. The desserts were too nice to miss out on but which one to choose?
The Stonehouse is very popular and you can tell why when you visit and dine there.

Food was good, hot and well presented.
They went out of their way to help with a party of 9 and we all had a great time.
Veggie bowl for 99p for small children was a bonus and would definitely go back!
Beautiful setting in the peak district.
Plenty of outside tables.
The inside is spacious with lots of seating.
Although a large area there are small corners with a couple of tables tucked away around the place.
The food was good and although I didn't have the carvery it looked very good.
I chose garlic mushrooms followed by fish and chips all very good 👍
Food was perfect, as always. Apple sauce would have been a great addition but apparently this is only available on Sundays.
Husband and kids were very pleased with their puddings.
Also very grateful to have been able to use blue light card discount.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, as always.
Called in for breakfast and was surprised to see that it's an All you can eat buffet.the quality of the food was very good but some items were cold . excellent value for money and will definitely go again
