The food,the service, the ambiance at the Varanasi all made for a wonderful dining experience. After many prior recommendations myself and a friend visited the Varanasi for dinner. The staff were lovely and very attentive.

Our evening started with a warm welcome, when we arrived, and then an absolute pleasant bottle of red wine, with poppadoms and the kick of pickles. An extensive menu, excellent service. Generous portions. Food was very good, rich and full of flavour. Err on the side of caution as my mid way between medium and madras was very hot. The only thing lacking was atmosphere, which isn't their fault. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night.
Always a lovely place for a great curry and wonderful service. The staff really care and make the most effort to look after you. Food is always so tasty and great value. And don’t forgot the upstairs bar with live entertainment !!!!

Was served by charming waiter who always brought fresh water to table when we ran out. Wonderful lamb chops was the star dish. Bold selection of asian lagers and great local ales. Lovely decor in addition made this a memorable experience.
Excellent food and very generous portions which are bagged up for you if you want to take home. The beer selection is also good. The waiters are very polite, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
