First time going and I will say it was lovely.
Great selection of amazing foods & wine.
The staff are all lovely and the chef really knows how to cook!
The atmosphere was incredibly chill and homely and felt welcome as soon as we walked in.
Will definitely be going again to try the rest of the menu selection.
Thank you for such a wonderful night guys!
Had such a lovely brunch here! Great value for a tasty hearty full English and good coffee. The inside seating area is spacious and bright too, very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Since the place is big, slight con was the wait time when staff was busy on the other end and no one was seeing our table for a while - this has improved towards the end of our meal when there were more of them. Overall a good experience
We had an absolutely lovely experience at the Furnace. We called up last minute for a table of 6 and they put us at the fire pit on the terrace which was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious (highly recommend the brownie and Sunday roast), however the service has to be the best part for me! It was my partners 21st birthday and the staff (especially Becky the manager and Sophie our lovely waitress for the night) were nothing short of accommodating and friendly. They couldn’t do enough for us! Really really enjoyed it and will definitely be back soon!! Thank you for a lovely night!
Have walked past several times, but decided to see what it looks like from the inside on this occasion. Without a booking, I was seen and seated efficiently (didn't have to wait around at the door way looking generally lost), as I chose the bar side I ordered at the bar, but as there was one barman on and he was handling a big (and developing/growing) order, I had to stand and wait a few minutes - it wasn't that busy, so that might of annoyed some people. Drink (Old Fashioned - not a great one, wouldn't recommend) and food (fish and chips - amazing, would definitely recommend) ordered.
If you like loud music from an "in bar" DJ whilst you eat, sit at the bar, if you would like to hear it but prefer to listen to the people you have gone there with, then outside on the terrace or the restaurant may be more your scene.
Really nice place in a handy location. Right next to Roxy's and opposite boom battle bar and the light cinema. The sun terrace is a great spot to enjoy a beer/cocktail and the cheese fondue is fantastic. One of the best places to eat in the city centre
Very good looking restaurant. It's a nice place but the food is a bit different and querky. It has some vegan and vegetarian options, but the menu is a bit small so it could be made bigger. The cocktails are also a bit different. It was nice but just feel like there could be more options and also maybe more staff around. The brunch however is stunning I love that you get to pick 5 different things it's beautiful
We booked a table for two in advance for a Saturday night. The restaurant was nice and modern, drink prices felt quite expensive, but I don't get out much these days!
We had a cheeseboard starter to share which came with a very tasty chutney and olives. Not bad for £10.
We ordered salmon kebabs and lamb kebabs for our mains with a giant couscous salad (the couscous is giant, not the salad). We both enjoyed our meals which were presented well and very tasty. They cost £16 each, which again feels expensive, but that's city centres these days.
I'm probably showing my age with this comment but the only thing I didn't like was the loud music from the live DJ, which was the same volume in the bar and restaurant. I don't particularly like having to raise my voice to have a conversation while eating my dinner, but it's fine if that's your thing.
Staff were friendly and attentive with no wait for our table. They took food allergies seriously and double checked with us if there was anything they needed to be aware of.
Atmosphere is great but some of the hanging kebabs we tried didn’t live up to my expectations. The chicken one had an odd texture but the lamb one was absolutely banging. Cocktails are great too.
Absolutely great bar and restaurant this. Super friendly staff, great food, good beer. It's got a good position in town tho there's not much else going on there at the moment. Parking is easy if you need it at the NCP 1min walk away. Great outdoor seating in the summer too. They've done some minor menu changes after a few months which helps the menu stay fresh.
This recently opened restaurant in Sheffield centre might have done with a wider menu than what I found on a recent first visit but the food I had itself certainly did not disappoint. Delicious lamb kofta and chunky chips and some friendly staff to bring it to the table. All over, still recommendable
Booked a table for mine and my partners anniversary and I asked their team to make it special for us as I suck at date nights - the food was faultless, the service was warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was perfect. The team went out of their way and arranged a bunch of flowers upon our table prior to our visit which made us feel extra special! After our meals, we were given a tasty shot for our celebration! Thank you for making it memorable.
Also their allergen menus are super easy to use! I usually hate eating out because of my allergies and it’s always a pain finding something to eat, but not here.
Highly recommend this venue. The team here are excellent.
I was there on a business dinner night. Food was fantastic, fresh, tasty and properly cooked. Before that I enjoyed the relaxing balcony with a drink. The interior felt spacious and although it was not quite, with music on the background, it was pleasant and relaxing.

We went here for brunch, sat outside on their lovely balcony, the food was great! The ordering style for the bunch was a bit strange without knowing what to expect, we ordered a bunch of different things and really wasnt disappointed, the food was extremely tasty and well presented, the atmosphere was so relaxed we probably spent a couple hours there just relaxing in the sun!
Loved our first visit! Waitress really friendly! Food beautiful! Lovely terrace area for a drink. We are looking forward to going back again this weekend. Only tiny bit of feedback for improvement. On the drinks menu there are no draft lagers listed so i assumed there were only bottles. I asked the waitress and she said there were 4 draft lagers available. Be better to have them listed.
It has taken us forever to get a booking here, its a very popular destination in the heart of Sheffield. I was a little shocked when first entering with how basic the place was but it had a great atmosphere once it filled up a little, although I did think the tables a little close together. The staff were great but the drinks took ages to arrive which was dissapointing for the four of us.
The food is cool but choose wisely for the portion sizing ...... the fishcake was great and filling but the Yorkshire Tea and Smoked Mackeral, although tasty was a little dissapoining on the size and presentation. We had the Grilled Chicken & Chorizo Kebab (amazing), Roast Lamb, Scallops and cod with sides of sweetcorn (again amazing) mash and properly seasoned chips.
The wine is reasonably priced per bottle and the cocktails look amazing but I'm not sure how much alcohol they have in them as we questioned this.
The prices are really good and we will revisit soon.
Visited today for a family meal and was superbly looked after by Abbie. We were a large party with 4 kids and 4 dogs and all were made welcome.
Everything, food, service, atmosphere was incredible. Nice live DJ set too!
Will definitely be back, fancy the look of the Sunday roast!
We popped in for a meal on a Saturday after, food was delicious, service from the staff was friendly and helpful too. Atmosphere good, with the choice of sitting inside or out on the balcony too. The choice of cocktails was brilliant and tasty.
