We had a really delicious lunch - the staff were great and the food was excellently prepared! The lay out of the place means you can watch the chefs in action which is very fun! Beautiful food and people

What a great place! Ideal for brunch. So many interesting flavours on the avocado toast with the radishes and pickled carrots, was delicious. I got an egg added too which was good. The coffee was fab too.

Very friendly and quick service. Chai tea was actually made from a non-powdered and delicious. We enjoyed Turkish eggs and the standard Eggs Royale. Both were cooked perfectly and presented well. The hollandaise sauce is slightly flavored with espresso so if that is not your thing be aware. Bread is freshly backed and very good. Available at the take out store in the front.

Amazing atmosphere, food, and quality of service! When seated, you can watch the staff make the baked goods behind a clear screen, that they feature on display in all locations, and can even buy local and handmade goods from the tiny shop in front of the store 😊 A pleasure as always to dine at marmadukes!

Could this be the best brunch place in Sheffield? It's certainly a strong contender. Food is fantastic, coffee is great, bread is baked in house. Lovely space with high ceilings and a few seats outside in the sun. Dog friendly too. Would agree it would be nice if they made their juices fresh on site. The cocktails are fab though, treat yourself to a grapefruit Mimosa instead, you won't regret it!

It would be harsh to reduce the rating based upon a 15min wait for the bill, as it was very busy, but that aside the food and service was amazing. Turkish eggs and a Chai Latte - perfect.

Good variety of food, suitable for, veggieterians or meat eaters. Not sure if ok for vegans. The food is good and ethically sauced. Plenty of seating; there's toilets. Unless there's another way in, then access for wheelchair users would be limited. Nice atmosphere, lively, but it can make it difficult to hear what your companions are saying. Overall well worth a visit. I can recommend the proper French toast.

Absolutely outstanding eatery with great coffee! Stopped by with 2 bff's during a weekend of walking and stuffing our faces. And talk about a well oiled machine, while the staff were all so lovely, whoever organises the day to day happenings should be given a medal and a raise! Loving the gender neutral bathrooms... it IS 2023 After all! Hope to come back soon!

Lovely open kitchen, watch the Bakers kneed and bake, small shop with oils flour books, and more 👍🏻

Driven past Marmadukes quite a few times and wanted to try it. Particularly interested in the bread but discovered they do a lot more. Went without a booking and was seated fairly quickly. I'd say this is a risky move as it was full so I would recommend booking. Staff were ever so friendly and helpful which really made you feel welcome. It was really pleasing to see the onsite bakery too. The menu has a reasonable range of items to try. Some feedback would be that the 'ask staff' options were tricky as staff were very busy. I think the company would benefit from a specials board in a prominent position as the location of the current list is difficult to see from the majority of the cafe. I had the eggs royale with the espresso hollandaise which really peaked my interest. Very well balanced and tasty. We also ordered a quarter sourdough with butter which was really good. My friend had a special deli sandwich but was particularly impressed with the raspberry dressed salad leaves which came with it. The time from ordering to receiving food was not the quickest but understandable with how busy they were. The venue is quite loud so was tricky to have a conversation. I'd recommend adding some more soft furnishings to dampen the sound, particularly with the high ceilings. The staff recommended the baked vanilla cheesecake for desert and my goodness it was a good choice. It was a rather large slice and had great texture and the base wasn't too dense. I would say that you could get away with shaving a third off the size of the slice as it was rather filling after a meal! Drinks are the usual range but I tried a 'dulce verde' juice thinking it'd be made on site but was disappointed to find it came in a plastic bottle from Cambridge. Still was reasonable in flavour but was expecting house made. Overall, a really pleasant experience and some really good food. Great service and good atmosphere. Would 100% visit again!
