What an experience? Do you like character? Quirky? Fun? A dog that looks crossed with a boar! Then this is the place.😊 Loved it! Good rooms, comfortable beds. Did I mention Tony is an excellent chef and an even better storyteller? Highly recommend for an entertaining time.
A fantastic quirky little gem of an inn. Wonderful open fire in a cozy bar that takes you back to another age. Tony the owner is quite a guy. His big fluffy dog is adorable. A pleasant change from the bland sterile chain hotels
Great place to stay. Tony is a great cook, and is a treat to chat with. Spent many hours sat by the fire with him, during our stay. Room was quirky, oldy worldy, but clean. Suited us perfectly. If you want a sterile, dull hotel chain room, this is not the place for you. Will definitely be going back.
Meet by Tony on arrival and we could book in early. Took our dinner choice and showed us up to our room. Room was family room which was large and spacious. The room was clean with bath and separate shower. Dinner was very tasty especially the dessert. As we were on ghost hunt at the prison, getting
Great little getaway. We came from Cardiff and Tony was very nice, lovely cooked breakfast, very comfy bed, amazing free standing bath that completely relaxed us. Felt totally refreshed. If we're ever in the area will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Just arrived and met buy the owner and he seems very nice. You have to pre order your evening meal so it will be ready for when you have booked your table. We had a great meal the food was great I have seen some reviews that state the host is unhelpful but we have found the owner could not be mor
Had a great time with my family. We couldn't of felt more welcome at the dust hole. The food was amazing breakfast was included with the room and dinner was pre booked for the evening which worked well for us. The food was seriously good. The bar in the evening was very nice with a good atmosphere w
Really nice old country pub/hotel. Great landlord.
Wonderful place full of antiques and a very friendly owner who is also a very good cook
The photos do not do this place justice, this is an incredibly quirky building filled with artifacts and nik naks from around the world. We were a group of 4 staying at the Dusthole for a Christmas works do. Tony and Neil made us feel so comfortable, we felt so welcome. Tony went out of his way to
Lovely relaxing weekend away with my beautiful girlfriend. Landlord was friendly and welcoming as was tyson the dog. Food good. Lovely log fire. And room no1was very quirky. Would definitely recommend. Many thanks Rob and lou.
We were not staying at the Dusthole, but the food was recommended to us by our own guest house, so we gave it a try. Wow! Truly delicious. And massive portion size. And a very reasonable price. The Baked Camembert starter was served with an actual loaf of bread - not just a few slices... Then the
Stayed here around Febuary time for a week, was fairly quiet and I was put in a large family sized room. The room was fantastic, whilst it could be a little cold (due to nature of the building) an electric heater was provided in the room. Bathroom had both a very large bath and a shower - both had
Our stay at the Dusthole was good. We were a party of 4 booked into 2 rooms. Our room was very nicely decorated and cozy. The other room was quite cramped and uninviting. The staff in the restaurant were polite but not as friendly as expected for an English inn. I still would recommend an overnight
A lovely traditional Inn with lots of history. The accommodation was comfortable, roomy and beautifully furnished with paintings, ornaments and rugs. The food delicious - we had sea bass with gnocchi and prawns in sauce and BBQ pulled pork pie and mashed potatoes with perfectly cooked fresh vegetabl
Fantastic find, we booked as a last minute night away. Room was superb as was Tony the host and the food was delicious, with more than enough on your plate. Plenty to do in the area and highly recommend. We shall definitely be re booking.
Stayed here for three nights with my husband . Nice quiet location. Went to longleat safari park which is very nearby. Comfortable clean room . Bed a bit soft but still slept very well. Very quirky place with great character. Loved the cosy bar area with lovely big open fire Felt very homely . Eve
A pub/guest house with hundreds of years of history. The food we had was lovely. Stayed for a couple nights for a ghost hunt at the prison which is a couple minutes walk away. Wouldn't surprise me if this place was more haunted than the prison. Friendly and helpful staff and owner.
Absolutely fantastic! Tony is an incredible cook and host, we cannot thank him enough for such a great stay!
