Booked table on a Wednesday , carvery and reduced menu pre advised. On arrival not advised that it was carvery only, some of the party would have preferred a meal from the reduced menu. Carvery 7/10. Will not rush back.
Gorgeous local pub with a really lovely atmosphere. They also have a traditional bowling alley.
A very nice little shop in the pub carpark, selling mainly locally produced products, including ready made meals prepared in the pub restaurant I believe. There is a coffee trailer which also does bacon baps etc. on a Friday and Saturday I think and a fresh fish van on a Friday. Very enterprising
Really nice meal in a great pub. Good service at a fair price. Would definitely go there again.

Visited the Rose and Crown.I have been there several times.They did my Brass Band meal A buffet really was very very good.
The owner saw i was having problems walking we had asked if we could eat outside because i felt couldn't walk that far, he produced wheel chair and took me to front door as that was the quickest route and only few steps to table.
The staff where very friendly and atentive with out being over the top
Found this pub when we got redirected because of road flooding. Very nice find indeed. Would we go back? Yes.

A top tier Sunday roast with a choice between beef, chicken, lamb and pork or all four if you're feeling especially hungry with a wide selection of traditional elements to accompany your choice of meat, serve yourself a few roast potatoe

A very warm welcome from Becky and John exceptional food served in the restaurant we were just gutted we couldn't stay for Sunday lunch. We stayed in the self contained apartment at the back of the pub which was great ...spacious clean and great shower. Would highly recommend.

A great experience all round. Food was all cooked to perfection. Staff were so helpful and lovely, and as for the regulars, you couldn’t have asked to meet a friendlier bunch. Probably the best Sunday Lunch experience I have had in years. Thank you all
