First time visitor today (from out of the village)..
(Very tall bloke with a Jamaican Tshirt?!)..mixed chicken meat and chips ordered, plus an extra large portion of the mixed chicken meats as it was cut directly from the upright.. the meat looked delicious and blew my taste buds off the scale. Stunning taste to what was purchased and super-fresh and juicy. I now have a decent local chippy which is worth travelling to from Cosford. 7 stars out of 5, if that's possible. You'll see me soon, absolutely..!! Thanks ππ
Always really good fish and chips, fish lovely white and chunky with a really crisp batter been coming here since we moved to Shifnal 7 years ago in fact we had them the first night we moved here with champagne! Never been disappointed always excellent. Also really nice helpful friendly staff.

Best chip shop in Shifnal. The premises are clean and well run. The staff are friendly and polite. There's a good choice menu. It's often busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, but worth the all wait.
Hubby grabs food every Tuesday and weβve never had a bad meal, great chat and good food. I love the scallops as a treat.
Top notch chippy, fish is fresh and cooked perfectly, the chicken tikka kebab is excellent, doner is average but still ok.

I was just passing through Shifnal and found myself to be peckish for chips. After seeing Cottams Fish & Chip shop I knew I had to try their food.
I decided to get a large Fish and Chips and the chips were amazing but the Fish was honestly the best fish I have every tried ANYWHERE in my entire life.
I had to also sample some of their Chicken and Kebab, both of which were also 10/10.
I would definitely recommend this chippy to everyone! I will be coming back for more. If only I lived closer to it.
I came here maybe 10 times in past 10 years because i live 100miles away but visit this areanonce a year and it is always top notch fish and chips and we look fwd to it.

Excellent service, lovely clean shop. Only reason not a full 5*is because the large fish might have been long, but it wasn't very wide. Chip portions are large as is the kebab meat with chips and salad.
Good food, better people! They always look after my Nan and will accommodate any requests they can!

Have eaten from here many times and is almost always perfect, their cod and chips are absolutely delicious π quality of the food is one the best I've had from a chippy, and that includes Whitby π
