Was on route from a cold and wet trackday at Snetterton and needed a nice home cooked meal! This hit the nail on the head after seeing some good reviews. We had home made pie from menu which you could choose from a good variety of pies, with a choice of various potatoes and vegetables to go with it. There was a good selection of other items including starters and locally sourced ice-cream. The chef brought the food out and ensured all was ok. The staff were friendly and let us open a tab. The amenities were very clean and has baby changing facilities in the ladies. The food is fantastic and I would recommend this place highly. Will most definitely be a pit stop place for us again in the future!
What a wonderful place this really could be... The chef is very friendly, knowledgable and talented. He spent some time with us explaining his menu and passions. And further, his ideas for creative and fun menus for special events. Some brilliant ideas. And we would absolutely support if we were more local.
The environment itself requires some thinking to make it feel a little more cosy and homely. But it’s not unpleasant.
The bar staff could have been more welcoming, but weren’t unpleasant.
Sports on the telly and a good range of drinks give the customer lots of options.
2nd time of visiting in two weeks, and it really is the best place for burgers. Juicy and succulent beef patties, that are a cut above the rest of most burgers you get in Norfolk. Couple this with the old School consoles, a diverse selection of board games, two pool tables, and you have somewhere you actually want to chill out in. I 100% recommend going if you like burgers, or want to play some classic games from your past.
(If you add poutine to your loaded fries menu I'll be there every week!)
Excellent Sunday lunch. Nice and clean. Great service and brilliant value for money.
Amazing food and fantastic service, best steak we have had in a long time, and the pudding was to die for, all homemade well worth a visit highly recommended
Wow. The new menu at The Jolly Brewers came as a bit of a shock....change from the Italian theme we had grown to love...but a thoroughly enjoyable meal was had. The staff are warm, welcoming but not in your face and are willing to accommodate small changes to their dishes to suit their clients. We will be returning again soon.
Had an amazing lunch here with my sister and nephew. We took advantage of the set menu lunch. 3 courses for £12 was so worth it. The first 2 courses were incredible. Truly delicious. Sadly the desserts let the meal down slightly but not enough to prevent a 5 star review. We're looking forward to returning very soon.
Just got home after a fantastic meal. Everything my partner and myself had was exceptional. Very good portion sizes to the extent I was nearly being rolled out. The staff are so friendly. Will definitely be back again.
Fantastic meal, the starter of crispy hens egg was amazing, flavours were perfect. Then the open steak sandwich is gorgeous, the steak cooked as you like, great flavour. Chips A1 and the peppercorn sauce my favourite, could have drank it. The lovely Gemma serving was so friendly, polite and attentive, massive thank you. The chef came out and he was so passionate and it told in his food. Signed up right away to the membership, I am very excited about this restaurant and the idea of the chef. Keep going strong and see you soon. Julie & Paul
A great meal, chef came out & spoke to us several times, he made our evening
Would be great to see more people use for drinking & having meals. Would recommend & hope that the place does well
Will definatley go back
Garlic bread was amazing, but as a starter too big a portion, never said that before.
Great place to eat, lovely woodland setting but make sure you are hungry as the portions are generous. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit, I will definitely drop in again.
I loved the food and the staff are friendly and very careful to be Covid safe. Very important to me as my husband has been shielding and we're keen to keep safe as possible. Very handy shop here too to collect bread and milk and more interesting goodies on our visit. Great asset to the area.
Absolutely fantastic. very friendly staff. Funny but very talented chef. Good choice of dishes on the menu. Above all, really, really good food at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be back.
Received lovely service when entering the premises. The room was simple yet really cosy. Area is nice and quite , middle of country roads, but only 10-15min from Hardwick shopping area in King's Lynn , where you can get most of your shopping if need it. Also got car park and a restaurant/bar but it was closed when I visited.
