Wow wow wow!! What a brilliant pub! Great selection of stunning ales and one of the best pies I have eaten in a long time. If you are nearby, or visiting Shrewsbury for the day and like your real ale, give them a visit, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend the dark but mild ale called "Slumbering Monk". The pale ale was nice too. Both are brewed by local brewery Joule's, of Market Drayton. Great service, great ale and superb food. What more do you need from your local pub?

A fantastic pub in Shrewsbury. Really cosy (like a lot of Joules pubs), with a great selection of drinks. The food tastes like proper home cooked meals, (especially the chips) extremely tasty and huge portions. Amazing value for what you get. Tried various meals here and all have been brilliant. Service is quick and staff are really welcoming. Highly recommend you visit this pub if in Shrewsbury.

My wife and I enjoyed a meal and drink at The Bricklayers Arms yesterday evening. We went because this is one of only a few pubs in the area that serve Joules beer. In addition to great beer, the food is excellent. We had the steak and ale pie and the fish and chips and both were great. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were quite reasonable given that this is a tourist area. There is plenty of seating and a nice patio out front. We will be back when we visit again.

We went fathers day and had a roast dinner myself having beef and partner having the lamb and wow the meat was amazing literally melts in your mouth and they are not shy with their portions at all and they even do homemade mash which I find I'd quite rare when you go out for Sunday roast it was all just amazing and the staff were lovely really friendly and welcoming and I think it was the landlady she was fab with our little boy talking to him and really making him feel included ...would highly recommend going here for a Sunday lunch we are now looking to try the midweek menu because I've heard that is just as good

Gorgeous food and very large portion sizes...definitely get your money's worth there....staff were very friendly and attentive, the place was very clean and well decorated without looking cluttered....if there was anything to put it down there wasn't a very big range of lager on the bar and as the doors were open we were quite cold while eating our meal....Would highly recommend

A proper pub with proper food, my favourite Sundays are spent here. The food is delicious and homemade and even when busy (it usually is!) we are always made to feel welcome.

Good staff, good service and a new landlady who is keen to turn The Bricklayers Arms into one of Shrewsbury's best loved community pubs. Good beers, a whole selection of Joules real ales, with my favourite being the Blonde, a session ale and quite refreshing. The Bricklayers is the only pub in Shrewsbury with a debating room, come to think of it it is the only pub I have know with a debating room... now then what shall we talk about! To cap it all when I visited one of my favourite groups 'The Ronaldos' were playing, place was rocking. Recommended.
