A very peaceful atmosphere with great views looking back on the cathedral and town walls. On nice days you can sit outside and enjoy the calming peaceful atmosphere of the area. They have a very good selection of snacks and hot drinks. Also included is a great value gift shop for Roman Catholics where you can pick up various items at good prices. I would not hesitate to recommend a visit.
We had afternoon tea as part of a Sabrina river cruise. There was a platter of fresh sandwiches which we delicious. This was followed by an abundance of scones and cakes. We were given boxes to take away what we couldn't eat. A lovely cafe, off the main routes and we'll worth a visit. Due to the sunny September weather, we sat outside in the courtyard, so peaceful overlooking the cathedral. Staff were very pleasant and attentive.
My mom had the last piece of Stilton and leek quiche with salad, she really enjoyed it. I had the ploughmans bap and salad, which was tasty. Initial mix up and received ham (I'm veggie) quickly changed to the advertised cheese. Lovely position near to the cathedral and easy to reach from the park. Sat outside in the sunshine with our dogs, even had ham for the dogs for, a small charge 😊🐶🐕. A very pleasant cafe, it's nice here
