Simply the best hotel I have stayed in in over 10 years. The castle itself was stunning to behold and the grounds were breath-taking and incredibly well kept. Parking was spacious and easy to locate. Apon entering I was greeted by the wonderfully friendly and professional staff. So kind and welcoming nothing was too much trouble simply a credit to the hotel.
The interior of the castle was so beautiful i will remember it for many years to come, Very historic an steeped in history it was a joy to behold, truly. My room (9) was well no other word suites, perfect. Spotlessly clean and easily the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Period correct antique furnishings really set the mood for this remarkable experience.
Bathroom was fabulous also clean and well appointed no complaints. The grounds are amazing and well worth a look around very peaceful and a feast for the eyes. My sleep was again perfect and incredibly silent no disruptions all night so very pappy indeed.
I was greeted by the lovely lady during Breakfast in the morning, she was so friendly and a credit to the hotel again nothing was too much bother 10/10. The breakfast itself was so delicious and very well presented and quality of ingredients was top drawer which I appreciate. Highly recommended.
The most beautiful wedding venue we've ever been too. We had our son's wedding here. It worked out cheaper than anywhere else we looked, and it was better. Lots of extras added for your money etc. The staff, the venue, the food, the quality, the rooms, everything was amazing! Never experienced anything like it. 10/10!
We got married at Rowton castle in May and we’ve just been back to stay the night, this place is fabulous, the staff are fabulous, nothing is too much trouble for them and they’ve always got a smile on their face and happy to help, if you are thinking about having your wedding at Rowton or just staying the night then, Do!! Wonderful location for a quiet stay, or for a large wedding.
We stayed over while travelling to a nearby appointment the next day.
The staff are really nice and the happiest hotel group I can recall. That must be down partly to the location and the peacful, tranquil that the castle sits in.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Access from the nearby main roads is good.
A morning stroll in the grounds and the opportunity to scrump apples from the walled garden orchard made our visit extra special.
Went here for a wedding, the castle was a brilliant location, it has indoor and outdoor facilities incase it was to rain and the ceremony needed to be moved indoors. Food was fantastic and kept coming. All the staff were very good, helpful and friendly.
Can fully recommend it.
Absolutely loved our stay here. The room was quaint and very clean. The food at breakfast was delicious. The grounds were gorgeous. And the front desk ladies were so warm and welcoming. We wanted to stay in a castle while in Scotland and this was the perfect place.
Beautiful venue - daughter got married in Rowton castle, on a sunny day in June. Both gardens & indoors was so perfect. Staff are always helpful and they took care of the guests very well. Wedding breakfast was so delicious 😋 - impressed by the vegetarian options given to us. The desserts were heavenly; our favourite was lemon cheesecake. Highly recommend the place.
What an incredible venue, so much history, we attended for a wedding and stayed the night. Everything during the day was amazing from the ceremony, to the evening reception. Food was delicious, staff were helpful, I would highly recommend this place.

Myself and my partner got married at Rowton Castle in August 2023 and were absolutely blown away by the incredible staff and obviously stunning venue. We live an hour and a half away and some guests were sceptical about having to travel so far for a wedding, that is until they arrived and could see straight away why we chose Rowton Castle. It honestly took my breath away driving up the driveway and seeing the castle for the first time.
The castle is amazing inside and out with so many locations for photographs. The inside and outside ceremony locations were set up and a decision on where to hold the ceremony was made at the last minute (due to the very changeable summer weather we have had!) which was amazing. The interior has had a refurb since we booked the venue, it is such a beautifully decorated building.
So many people at my wedding mentioned how impressed they were with the attentive staff and they loved the fact that during the wedding breakfast, Gavin made sure no drinks were ever empty and Dannie was always making sure that we were looked after. No request was too great, they really made sure everyone was happy and we had the perfect day.
The bedrooms are lovely and fitting with what you would want at a castle venue. Breakfast is not too early either meaning everybody could make their way down at their own pace and have a relaxing, delicious breakfast.
As well as this, the meal that we had and the evening food were both amazing. The portion sizes were just right and there were lots of compliments about the food, such as the best tomato soup the MOH has ever had.
The Orchard Suite at the Tower House for the bride and bridesmaids the night before the wedding was also fantastic. The beds were comfy, the showers warm, the fridges and shelves stocked with all sorts. The breakfast that arrived was amazing, with so many lovely pastries and fruits, we could never have eaten it all.
Thank you so much to everyone at Rowton Castle for truly making our day so perfect, we loved every minute and would recommend it to anyone, the most stunning venue and amazing staff.
We have had the BEST day at Rowton Castle after we booked a late availability package. They were so flexible and accommodating, using some of the decor I already had and beautifully presenting this with some of the included pieces from the package. Corryn, Gemma and Elise all supported in the planning process and we're incredibly quick at responding to any questions or queries and transparent about costs etc.
Johan and Lewis were also amazing – just the friendly and reassuring voices I think we needed with the adrenaline, nerves and excitement as we prepared for the big day. Joshua was a brilliant addition that evening as well and we were so pleased to feel the warmth and kindness from all staff working that day.
