Nice restaurant bar which is part of the Premier Inn located next door. Went on a Sunday afternoon and must have arrived at shift change as short on staff when we first arrived. Staff were very attentive though and couldn't fault them.
Food pricing is good value for money. It's not a la carte but very good quality pub food. An extensive selection so every taste should be catered for. Decent selection of drinks on offer including double up on spirits for an extra £1.50!
Seems to cater for hotel guests and celebratory groups due to pricing. Worth a visit if in the area.
Returned on a Saturday evening. The food is to the same standards as before but it is noticeable that the service is not the fastest. The staff are very friendly but for some reason it takes a while for the food and drinks to arrive. It wasn't a problem for us but with bearing in mind.

We eat here at least once a month for breakfast & it is always lovely. Tried an evening meal on Saturday & the food was amazing. Lindsey is an absolutely fantastic and attentive member of the team. She has served us so many times & she is just lovely & makes a fuss of the kids too. The whole team are great but she always stands out for us 😊

Lovely staff. Lindsey was our server and was absolutely delightful. Friendly, polite and anxious to make sure that we were well looked after and enjoyed our meal. Thanks Lindsey!

Called for an early evening meal deal before 6 o’clock. Faultless value for money and service is exceptional too. In the current climate where I’ve been to high end restaurants and been disappointed, the bridge water has delivered better value food for a fraction of the price.
Huge thank you to the bridge water and the team

We had our first visit earlier in the week for Breakfast, was brilliant service & food then so we went back with the children today for a Sunday Roast. Our server Seb was absolutely fantastic & the food was perfect, couldn’t complain about a single thing including the price! The atmosphere was also brilliant, it was relaxed but still very kid friendly & didn’t feel at all chaotic, all left very happy. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later!

Popped in here for food as we were staying at the premier Inn. Had the chicken tikka and the meatless roast dinner followed by cadburys caramel sundae. All the food was really nice, didn't have to wait long for the food. All the front of house staff were really nice. Would definitely come here again.

Food is very good and at a decent price,
Service is friendly and quick (4* for a slight mishap with starters) atmospheres great for all and the place is big enough to separate u from anything bad if needed. Ive gone around 1-2pm twice and it is quite but still active. Anyone thinking of using the services may as well drive out a bit for a nicer stop if it suites them 10-20 quid is about right for a meal and the menu for me had 2 mains for 10.99 so very worth.

Service was slow, considering there was not that many in. Chicken very dry. My granddaughter ice cream had almost melted bye the time it arrived. Other people were served who ordered after us. Definitely room for improvement.

Driving passed and we decided to stop in. 1st visit and we were very impressed. The service was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother. We were not disappointed with the food either. It arrived quickly and was piping hot. Lindsie our server was amazing.

Nice looking pub with a selection of ales on offer. However, we were only here for breakfast having just stayed in the Premier Inn next door, so I can't give a very detailed review. Nice menu and friendly staff. Will definitely be back in to try it properly if we find ourselves in the vicinity.

I hadn’t visited the Bridgewater Arms in a long time, but I am so glad I did. The food was hot, delicious and fantastic value. I had the Chicken Tikka Curry, and while it had a kick, it remained beautiful, while my mate had the Fish and Chips, which was a healthy-sized portion, meaning you wouldn’t leave hungry - the staff in the kitchen were on their game too. I want to mention some staff who served us throughout the evening. The staff there are incredibly welcoming and friendly - Heather, Tom, Archie, Seb, & Barney, to name a few. Top-notch, ladies and gents!

We came here today for lunch as a family of 6 and cannot fault the service or food. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was served quickly and all tasted delicious. We will definitely be back again.

We ate breakfast here when staying as part of a large group for a wedding. Great value and a special thanks to Lyndsie and Heather for looking after us despite the large numbers descending on them!

Made to feel very welcome and our waiter Joe was very professional, polite and welcoming.
He was really helpful when choosing our food absolutely rushed off his feet but always had a smile he was an absolute delight and a credit to the pub.

Always nice to go to the Bridgewater, lovely place, good food and plenty of offers goin on.Theres always a plenty of choice on the menu, mains and dessert. It's a nice drive from the town, very scenic and not far at all. There's a Premier Inn nxt door which is very convenient and it brings in extra custom.Since the last time we were there they have brought in new staff, i think the service has improved immensely and we enjoy going. The carparking is excellent, yards from the main door and great views over Shropshire.

Come here a lot with it being the local. We have never experienced bad service.
It dawned on me last night that they are charging bistro price and certainly last night the food and drink didn't match it, therefore I have knock a star off for the drink, which I order a mojito, and maybe i didn't ready the menu, it certain wasn't like the Cuban classic, was rather sweet and I could not detect any lime, of course this is a matter of opinion as I know my mum loves the sweet ready to drink tin sold in cans in supermarkets, which to me have no resemblance to the classic.
And the food I also knocked a star off for. We both ordered the double steak stacker burger and blue cheese burger. The burger was nice and meaty, but really that was all you got for £10.40. There was may 1/4 of a tea spoon of blue cheese and that's me being kind, and sparse spread of fries. Maybe they had detected we were on a diet but after 24,000 steps that day we had earned our blue cheese burger.
We will of course be back. But when you compare the burger and price of it to the lions den in shrewsbury it's clear the Bridgewater isn't the best value for money.

This used to be such a lovely place that we would come to regularly but now we will not be returning.
We arrived early for our table and were seated straight away (as it wasn't busy) however we were not offered drinks. We eventually went to the bar to get them ourselves. It took 20mins plus for our food order to be taken, a further 30min to receive our cold starters and then we never received our mains because after waiting another 1hr 20mins without any acknowledgment from the staff we decided to cancel our food order and leave. The lack of customer service was appalling, it wasn't busy when arrived and only a few other tables were filled during the time we were there. People who arrived after us were more well attended too and often received there food before us. I have never seen my nan so disappointed and upset as it was meant to be a family treat. Such ashame because this isn't the first time that the service has been that bad there and we gave the place a second chance as we have been coming since we were children. Never again.

Awful! Bad management, manager was very rude when I complained! I wouldn't feed the food that was served on my plate to a dog tonight! Steak was solid, had about 5 undercooked chips and a drop of peppercorn sauce that cost £1.79 plus a £15 steak! Sent it back to the kitchen as I asked for steak to be cooked medium then it took 20 minutes to come back out, by this point my nan had finished her meal that was edible but not fantastic at all! And not even a sorry or a thank you from the manager when we left! Couldn't be more ashamed of what used to be such a lovely pub with great food and service! Will definitely not be recommending or returning!

Lovely restaurant/pub. Very attentive staff and lovely seating arrangements. Lovely food and perfectly cooked. The breakfast is lush (we were staying at the Premier Inn) and excellent choice. To be recommended. Love the doggie pics around the place and the alpacas in the field next to Arms/Premier Inn. Lovely location too. Thank you. Xx

We had a table for eight, fantastic service and food can't fault it, we had a birthday cake which they put in the kitchen an when they brought it out the candles where lit !!! Great place would recommend for sure.

Poor service last night. Took 75 minutes to bring out starters during which time others had come in, ordered, eaten and left. Had to ask what was going on as no initiative from staff. When the food eventually came out, was nothing to shout about. Dry, over cooked to the point of burnt and very bland. Customer service pretty atrocious and food not much better. Gone down so much lately it's sad to see. Won't be heading back any time soon unfortunately.

We eat here regularly, as I think their Haddock and Chips are probably the best in town, and my husband just can't get enough of the Steak and Merlot pie.
The atmosphere is relaxed, without loud musac or freezing air-conditioning.
The staff are it's greatest asset; pleasant, approachable, attentive without being pushy and seem genuinely interested in their customers.
All round, I genuinely can't fault it.

Good service food was good breakfast was good only reason I marked as 4 is nothing to do with the food cleanliness of some cutlery and cups I picked up two cups and both were stained with previous drinks worth checking before putting out

Decided to go for tea with the family so Popped in there just on the off chance of gettin a table. Was quiet busy but still got served straight away by friendly staff, Steve & team that showed us straight to a table. Drinks orders were taken as we were seated. Once they came to the table the food order was taken. There wasn't much of a wait on the food and it was of good quality. The kids enjoyed their meals (from the kids menus) and my partner and I had a 2 course meal. Both our meals were very good.

Went here as we had a 40% off voucher, which actually made it very good value; it wouldn't have been otherwise.
It was busy when we visited, however even considering that, the service, particularly for drinks, was quite slow. I suspect it would have been quicker to go to the bar myself.
Food was excellent and staff friendly, would have been 5* but for the slow service

Had better meals there, can't understand why gluten free is not clear on menu when vegetarian is, wasn't in booklet for festive meal suggest they put more chardonnay wine in the fridge had to have a glass with ice in it
