Had a superb afternoon with 6 friends at this place on Saturday afternoon celebrating a friend’s birthday. From the outset of organising the Gin101 tasting with food Darren the owner promptly answered all my questions and was very helpful so we knew what we were getting. Did it live up to my expectations? Yes and more! Darren is a great host both informative but also very relaxed and we were given his full attention for over 2hrs. We didn’t feel at all rushed. There is no hard sell after although he must have done a good job as 5 bottles of gin were bought! The food platter of artisan breads, olives, cold meats and cheeses were amazing and very good value in with the package. What is lovely about it is that it is all sourced locally in the market. It was great to find out about the different gins and I think we all pretty much had a different favourite. I bought the Bathtub gin and can’t wait to open it. Maybe next weekend � this is a real hidden gem and a refreshing change and I am already planning when I can can do another one xx thank you Darren and the team x
Was on a ladies weekend and whilst shopping stumbled on the bar in the market hall - thought great idea so booked a table for later in afternoon. Had a sharing platter and two gins of the week for £20 - brilliant! Got full description of gin and platter - superb made even better by using local produce from the market - would definitely recommend a visit.
What a fantastic find, tucked away in the corner on the top floor of the market.
We had the sharing platter with 2 gins, great value at £20.
The choice of gin was huge. They also had a draft ale or lager and a range of bottled beers.
The platter was all locally sourced, we had a explanation of where the cheese, meat and bread had come from.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming.
I throughly recommend a visit
Really fun gin tasting evening with Darren who's extremely passionate about what he does. Great gin, great food, great evening.
