Arranged a wake at the Peacock, and what a great choice. First class team organised everything so the event went really well. Fantastic buffet and great choice of beers. I will definitely be visiting again. Well done The Peacock!!!
Great place to stop for a drink and a meal. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere in a cozy setting. Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and had no issues ordering food. Menu had a good selection of pub classics. Lovely beer garden at the back to enjoy a quiet beer on a sunny day.
We went nearer the end of the night and the 2 lads serving were champions.
All 5 of us were fed and and puddings served to the little ones and drinks.
Nothing was too much to ask and the food was 5* , even my picky 8 Yr old daughter ate all of it.
Top notch grub and the lads on the night were stars.
Ate here with my friend, the food was yummy and very good value for money! We had the bacon burgers. Decor could do with being updated. Also, you have to go to the bar to place your orders.

Cracking pub with lovely owners and staff. Food is brilliant and very reasonably priced.
Some good ales and lots of screens for when sport is on. Dogs are welcome in 2 parts inside , with water bowls offered for them.

Appeared to be busy for a lunchtime Wednesday. Ordered the small fish and chips, then a dessert, jam sponge and custard and ice-cream sundae. Special offer £22 for two. The Hobgoblin beer was excellent.
First time visit to this place and i really liked it. Staff were very friendly and the food was really nice. Decor may not be everyones taste but it was perfect for us.
Lovely relaxed place, nice pub grub and staff very attentive, nothing too much trouble, we go there on a regular basis. Good value for money

We recently attended a wedding reception at the Peacock and I must say it was very good .The carparking can be a bit tight but we managed to park up and we enjoyed our day.Plenty of tables inside and out depending on your preference and they were well spread out.Service from the bar was very good,they didn't keep you waiting and the buffet was excellent.Plenty of salad, well filled rolls,great chips and to finish off lovely cupcakes. Very good.
Good local pub with a decent choice of real ale and an inexpensive menu. A fair choice of pub fare staples.

We've been to this pub so many times in the past, but since leaving the area, this was our first visit for about 3 years. Pleased to say all is still great! It's a typical Marston's pub so if you're expecting cordon bleu this isn't the place for you, but if like us, you're in town and looking for a pit stop for lunch and don't want anything fancy, it's perfect!
They have a great range of drinks, the real ale is well kept, the place is clean and tidy, there's a good choice on the menu and the service was great too. Big thanks to Nathan who epitomised service with a smile!
We were lucky enough to be able to sit in the beer garden, which although suffered a little with road noise (it's in the centre of a town, it's to be expected!) is a lovely sunny spot and the sun actually graced us with its presence!
Really can't fault it, five stars from me!

We came to the peacock Inn for food on Saturday as we had come from Birmingham to spend our anniversary in Shrewsbury, we had excellent service , excellent food, the staff was polite
and we really enjoyed it
