Unbelievable. After finding out the place I normally eat at was closed it was a long old search to find somewhere else that did a good gluten free selection of anything other than brownies. I was not disappointed. This little gem had everything any coeliac sufferer could wish for and as well as amazing food it's staff were so lovely and extremely helpful. My daughter was over the moon when she found ypu served redbush tea as well. Well done ladies you made my trip with my sister and daughter an absolute pleasure 100/100 xxx

Second visit there today and the crepes remain as good as before - I'm so often disappointed by crepes that are too thin and undercooked, but these are great -thick, warm and good quality ingredients - plenty of good strong cheese in mine. I've yet to have the appetite to try a sweet one as well but I will next time. And the milk shakes are great too.

English breakfast and American pancakes ordered for delivery. Good quality bacon & sausages, all cooked perfectly and delivered quickly, so still nice and hot. Faultless.

Visited yesterday whilst on a business trip to Shrewsbury. The lady was an absolute pleasure to speak to and the food I ordered were both delicious and great value for money. I hope that the lovely lady's day got better after having a rather unpleasant customer earlier in the day...thank you, I would definitely recommend Darwin's...

A very good place to get yourself a quality fried breakfast, they also sell amazing coffee that's free of the taste of pesticides. Also the prises are amugst if not the cheapest in Shrewsbury and considering that all the food I have eaten from there has been organic I'd say that it's a great favourite of mine and go regularly, also regular customers get free refills on coffee and tea. Owned by Gwen, who has built a great team of staff I feel I can talk to. Only 4 stars because the furniture bothers me hahahaha!

Darwin's is a place I visit fairly regularly. Always served nice food and friendly service. Situated just across the road from Shrewsbury's Indoor Market Hall. Darwin's could be quite easily overlooked, which would be a real shame. It's compact, with a small ground floor, with further seating upstairs. It's quite ordinary in many respects, but always offers a refuge, especially if you prefer not to frequent some of the bigger noisier establishments. A great place to enjoy the quality of life and watch the world go by. Places like these add to the charm of this town and need to remembered, frequented and not lost to history. Visit and enjoy !

A teeny cafe with a BIG heart! β™₯️ We were on a short break in Shrewsbury and our Airbnb was not far from Darwin's. So an ideal stopping point when we were tired and thirsty! As tempted as I was to have a Pina colada milkshake, I went for the non-alcoholic version while my son had a peanut butter one. I was also able to have a delicious piece of gluten-free carrot cake. They cater for dietary requirements really well. We enjoyed it so much we made a plan on the spot to return after check-out on the Saturday morning!! A full English really set us up for a looonngg day of travelling. Despite being ever so busy - both staff were so friendly and we bought some Shrewsbury biscuits for family (including a Vegan version, wish there was a gluten-free one but I know myself how hard it is to bake with GF flours!) Great value for money and proper home cooked food with quality ingredients. We loved our visit and hope to be back soon.

I buy sandwiches from Darwin's Sandwich Evolution often and am always happy with the quality of the food and overall experience. Sandwiches are fantastic and you must try the cakes.
