Came to visit my brother in law for the weekend, he lives around the corner from the pub so opted here for Sunday lunch.2 lamb shanks and a trio of meat dinners were demolished. Extra roasties, Yorkies and gravy for free . lovely beer garden and staff were great.will definitely be back on our next visit
Just been down for Sunday lunch, great meal. 2 x trio roasts plus free extra roasties, yorkie puds and gravy. all demolished and enjoyed. food and service was excellent, can't say anymore. We will be back
Went for New Years Eve to the watch the Ronaldos and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were brilliant, very busy but never waited more than a minute to be acknowledged and served. Would thoroughly recommend it and think we will be booking again for this year!
First visit for around 4 years and it didn’t disappoint. Friendly staff, busy but very efficient, nice atmosphere.
Food was well priced good size portions and very tasty. Will definitely be back soon 5*

First visit yesterday. Sat in the lovely beer garden. Ordered 2 Sunday roasts and it was excellent. Waitress was very good. Bar staff seemed a little inexperienced but a really enjoyable afternoon. Will be back.

My partner, family and myself regularly go to the Abbey for food and we always leave feeling satisfied. We always say how far it has come and how much it has improved! Food is lovely, staff are friendly, if there is ever a problem they will sort it no questions ask. Always serve quick and atmosphere is great! We love it there and whenever we try and decide somewhere else to eat for a change we always end back at the Abbey �.

Lovely outside booths that easily seat 6 in comfort and each booth comes with own sports screen. Food was really scrumptious and very well presented. Nice ales. Very friendly and efficient service
Lovely clean pub with your hearty pub grub food options. Always a nice atmosphere. Lady at the bar did not smile once which let the cundtomer service down when ordering food and drink. Otherwise, my family love coming here for a quick lunch/dinner out.
Only popped in one evening on spec when working away from home and needing an evening meal. This was very busy at the time with lots groups of four or more people. I hadn't booked but a table was available and I was impressed with how fast and efficient the service was from order to my meal arriving considering the number of covers. Food as description on menu and good sized portion.
Well worth a visit and definitely coming back.
It’s fair to guess that The Abbey had a bit of work done during COVID but what a fantastic job the did!
The tables outside are all set up like small individual rooms. There’s a TV in each one, perfect for watching the game! There’s a heater in each one so the weather is irrelevant as they’re covered too.
The menu is on a QR code which makes ordering direct to the table easy.
+ You get to add an extra free side of awesome roast potatoes if you get through the first lot!
Overall, lovely place, friendly staff.

Food was great, even treated myself to a Chocolate fudge cake.
We came during the week as a family. The food was really good apart from the mashed potato. It was cold and extremely sold, not very appealing. Apart from that, the food was great. Love coming to the Abbey Shrewsbury.
The lovely lady behind the bar even came out and changed the booth tv channel for us.
Can't wait to go back.
They are always so helpful....soup on the menu and always accommodate my dietary needs as I have dysphagia! Thanks guys!! Plenty seating inside and out! Lots of drinks to choose from! Staff are friendly ! Great venue for all.the family!
Lovely meal and a nice cold pint. Very professional staff. We were able to sit outside as it was a pleasant evening. As soon as customers left the tables were sanitised. Definitely will return. Thank you.
Went there last Friday with friends. Excellent value from lunchtime menu. Service and food was very good. Will go again.

Popped in for a bite to eat after being at a baby reveal. Haven’t been here since before lockdown I must admit the staff and service very professional.
The menu is amazing with an excellent variety of dishes catering for all people. We ordered our starters came fantastic couldn’t fault, very polite table service then onto the main I had the pork belly and beef burger wow what a dish. Made sure I left room for the desert bread and butter fingers so glad these are still on the menu.
Really nice, friendly pub. Cosy. Good food (loved the ultimate burger) and selection of beers/ales. Lovely beer garden. Perfect world drinks would be a bit cheaper. Quite steep prices. Still give it 5 stars though.
Myself and a group of mums from the local school PTA came here for a night out for a few drinks. It was a lovely evening atmosphere was great and all the staff were happy lovely and friendly to us all definitely enjoyed it and will be going back again soon
Not happy with service today had a meal with family today their was nine of us for my birthday, but the food was lovely the only trouble was half of us had food and mine and three others arrived when the other five had nearly finished theirs and they didn’t really apologise. Even though we ordered at the same time
