I am very impressed that you are doing a free Christmas dinner for lonely people. What a great idea. If you need a hand with the veg on Christmas morning let me know. I am free and free until 11.30 xx

Just popped in for a cuppa while waiting for a shoe repair. Staff very friendly & caring for several who came in needing assistance. Quick service, nice hot cuppa, clean, tody & pleasant place to spend a little time. Will have something to eat next time. Thanks ladies :)

Nice place inexpensive, great bacon, not a huge meal but enough to get on with your day. I would pay more for a decent sausage and condiments, nice coffee, Prime location for great food but there is something nice about old school. Great little cafe 👍

I would say typical ‘greasy-spoon’ caff but that would do it an injustice as it’s spotlessly clean and the food served up is delicious and well presented. Great value for money too and the staff are lovely.

Good old school cafe. No frills, nice service and great back to basics menu. Highly recommend the plougboy. Far better than the overpriced chain coffee shops 👌

Comforting, freshly cooked food, perfect for a cold day. It would be a good example of a traditional English menu for international tourists looking for that experience. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and incredibly clean toilets. Usually end up somewhere doing middle eastern or Mediterranean food but really wanted egg and chips for the first time in ages, it was lovely. Thanks

Superb value for money and all the food is freshly cooked. I've been a regular visitor for many years now and would strongly recommend the large breakfast which includes a free coffee or fresh pot of tea with extra pot of hot boiling water for those who enjoy 2/3 more cuppas at no extra cost. I haven't found any where else in Town who provides similar free of charge. Please note, if there's anything on the breakfast you dislike, ie no beans or tomatoes, then Fred the owner will provide you with an alternative ie extra Bacon, Egg etc.on request Don't forget to ask for Fried bread, which really compliments your morning breakfast. The Staff are extremely polite and helpful and the toilets are spotless There are tables in the back of the building which are out in the open but all under cover. Recommended in the summer months. My favourites. Big Breakfast. Beef Burger, fries and a chocolate milkshake followed by a selection of one of the home made cakes. If you're visiting Shrewsbury for the first time, and you're feeling hungry make this your first stop. Only 3 minute walk from the multi storey. You can't go wrong and it sets you up for the rest of the day.
