A large RSPB nature reserve at the foot of the Lake District. Stunning wildlife and views. Well maintained hides, large carpark and modern visitors centre with toilets. Narrow, bendy roads lead to the nature reserve, so I recommend taking it slow if driving in and out. There are activities for youn
Beautiful nature reserve, very nice staff. I like the high platforms to observe the animals, comfortable hides, you can borrow binoculars. My daughter really enjoyed this place.
A great place to visit. I'm a novice when it comes to bird watching, but managed to see a Bittern and 4 Marsh Harriers passing food mid flight. Lovely location for a day out with children to introduce them to ornithology as well as for serious birdwatchers. Well made paths providing accessibility for all.
