The last two visits to this place for their breakfast, fried bee hoon which is my favourite, I can only say the portion has shrink with the slight price increase. Some places increase prices, portion either remained or increase a bit as well. Some places increase prices, the portion decrease. This place is definitely the latter. Coffee portion also like shrink a bit for takeaway. Plus side, the taste and standard are still quite good nonetheless.

Yummy Shophouse Eatery! A hidden gem specially at this part of town with a different take on a traditional kaya toast. They use a fluffy bun instead and the kaya spread is so good! Also tried their beef horfun and sambal fried rice. Both are better than most hawker centers and at $5 its a steal! The eatery is quaint, spacious and really have the shophouse vibe with an army of uncles efficiently busing orders and cleaning the tables. Eating here is not only for having a great meal but an amazing local experience as well. Going out, I saw the chicken rice that looked super yummy. Will try that next. ;)

Coffee and baked good just normal, not surpassing hawkers food. The half boiled eggs cooked to perfection, credit on this. Won't come again for breakfast, there are a lot better option esp, this place kinda overrated. Btw, their donuts only available after 11am.

The toast is nice. It’s different from the usual thin toasted bread. It’s more fluffy but yet still nicely toasted on the outside as it’s thicker. Peanut butter is nice but the kaya is not as strong as others.

Peanut butter is nice, they kinda expect everyone to know what and how to order as there's no menu. But staff answers when asked. Beeper to collect bread, staff serves the drinks and eggs to u. Q moves fast. There's 2 Qs. 1 for drinks and bread, the other for cooked food. $9 for breakfast. Bread is nicely toasted on top, it's soft and fluffy below.

Great breakfast place along Beach rd. Beehoon is really delicious, without msg 😅, tofu is soft - crosseint is tasty but a bit dry - drinks are okay. The place is crowded and tables are all full so you will need sometime before getting one for your own. Will come back from time to time.

Really soft fluffy bread!! ($5.80 for a coffee, pair of eggs and 2 Kaya toast- slightly higher priced than heap seng leong- $4.60 at HSL; but still priced decently!) this place has been renovated so the nostalgic factor may not be as deep as HSL but this place is a Hainanese coffee shop!!! (People there speak Hainanese too!)

The kaya toast was amazing - crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside; and the kaya was thick and flavorful, slightly different from those I've tried elsewhere. I had the claypot horfun while my friend tried the pork chop rice, and they were both pretty good. Lastly (and most importantly 😁), the kopi's very good - smooth, gao and well balanced. Love to come back for more.
