Handle Bar

Located in Gillman Barracks, this is bar is - as the name implies- a biker’s hangout where patrons can park just in front of the place. There’s also lots of bike and rock n roll memorabilia all around. Tables are mostly outdoors, but I would suggest Getting a table indoors where it’s less crowded (and away from cigarette smoke). Menu is mostly western and I recommended the cheese burger which came with a thick meaty patty. Service is prompt and cheery as well. Give this place a try to escape from the urban setting.

Fun setup with some genuine bikers hanging out but it also seems welcoming to anyone and everyone (families etc). There's plenty of outdoor seating as well as a few select indoor tables and some bar seating. The food was better than I'd thought - there's the usual burger options you'd expect, but also some fresh pasta and other non-fried choices.

Dining here is like being transported to Texas or other American cowboy town. Needless to say, this is a great place for bike watching. Service was exceptional - staff were chirpy and attentive. Menu was fun. Food were not bad and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, there were only two types of beer on tap - Tiger and Guinness. Prices of these draught beers were not competitive ($11-15/pint) and there was no Happy Hour. Overall, a cosy place for catching up with friends.

Nice ambience and friendly staff. This place is very busy, so make sure you make reservation before going to avoid disappointment. Wanted to order the Blossom Onion but too bad it's not avaliable. Ordered fish and chips and pork chop instead. Guinness Draft is 2 for $20 which if is very good deal. The fish and chips is big portion and taste very good. Pork chop is tender and tasty too. Will be back to try other dishes. Update: 1 Dec 2021 Went back have tried other dishes .. 😅 A weekday evening. Still as busy.
