Seriously, it's the best battered fish I've had in a long time. It was not the cheapest, and it was also a bit of a long wait for food, but that being said, it was all worth it when I gobbled down my meal.

Dropped in for some greasy carbohydrates mid bike ride. Cafe of choice, Artefood in Windsor, was closed for refurbishment, and I needed something to get me through the 25 miles to home. Had cycled past this place many times.
£3.49 for a cardboard box of chips, pretty much a large portion. Few too many crispy shards at the end, but I did feel full. Support your local shops.

Really fresh cod and chips. The chips were so fluffy on the inside and the batter of the cod was spot on. I had actually forgot to order some extra sauces and when I rung up to ask for them to be added they were so polite and updated me on when my food would be ready. Would recommend without a doubt

Today after queuing outside the door (it was cold), i was actually served quickly and the food was ready very quickly also.
My fat chips were the perfect blend of fluffy/greasy and were very tasty.
The only problem with them, was the amount of crispy/hard bits that you just can't chew and I had to leave them. My pineapple fritter was perfectly crispy on one side, but had been put directly on the chips (no bag) so batter was mushy on the underside, shame really.

I was staying with my daughter for a few days in Old Windsor and tried this fish and chip shop thanks to the reviews. Fabulous surprise! I am mega fussy with my food and this was absolutely superb! Freshly cooked to order fish, crispy chips, friendly staff and the place was spotless! Upon my return a couple of weeks later, we decided to order some of the fried chicken too! I NEVER eat fried chicken because it is always sloppy, undercooked and has a thick batter. Well not here! The chicken was perfectly cooked, the coating was light & crispy and had an amazing flavour - exactly how fried chicken used to be before big chains came along and ruined it. None of the food is greasy at all and the prices are great value. I’m not keen on the South of England, but this little gem makes it worth visiting.
