Lovely country pub with welcoming and friendly staff. Food was amazing and great value for money. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a country pub who provide an excellent service - definitely going back and soon!

Took my daughter for a Sunday Roast. The staff were lovely and couldnt do enough for us. Went in with a friend for lunch a few days later. And had the same reception. Food was lovely. Great portions and excellent service.

We were quite a large party having lunch to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday (10 adults). Lovely place. Amazing, friendly staff. Unfortunately we live in Northumberland so can't become regulars but if we're in the vicinity again, we'll definitely call in. A great experience with fabulous food (a wide choice). I recommend The Flying Horse. Our food bill minus drinks came to just over £200 so great value too. Thank you. X
6 of us went for Sunday lunch yesterday, what can I say other we all agreed the food was nothing but excellent! Portion sizes generous, cooked to perfection, great value for money, great service. This is going in my little black book for future reference.

We did not wait long at all to be seated, and for our food to come out. The food itself was wide in variety, from a peri-peri chicken choice, to lasagne. If our dishes are anything to go by, any food out of The Flying Horse’s kitchen is bound to please. Their onion rings were particularly tasty, being the first onion rings loved by my partner!
Would highly recommend for a meal and a drink, with lovely shops in the surrounding area, as well as an adorable antique store down the road.
Called in after a day out at Begbury. Menu looked good, but opted for Sunday lunch. Superb food and plenty of it. Couldn't make pudding unfortunately. Helpful bar staff in a great old style pub. Will be back when we do Bewl water.
We had booked for Sunday lunchtime but turned up nearly an hour early, which wasn't a problem at all. We were offered indoor or outside seating and chose to sit outside as it was such a lovely day. (Outside was busy but there were plenty of available tables inside).
There was minimal wait for our food, which was delicious (especially the homemade caramel and honeycomb cheesecake) and reasonably priced too.
The owners of the Flying Horse are really lovely, extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble; they made us feel very welcome. Thank you; we will be back :-)
Had the most amazing Sunday roast & fish & chips today, highly recommend. Great food & great service
Came as part of a large group, during the Battle of Britain airshow weekend, and they were the most hospitable and friendly guys any tired and hungry blokes could ask to meet. Staff were brilliant, food was amazing, the pub itself is a genuine slice of history located in gorgeous countryside.
