Marsin Bakers

It is fantastic to find a typical French bakery in the heart of the West Midlands. I go there every week. I am French with Portuguese roots and I feel nostalgic about the real taste of croissants 🥐 pains au chocolat and baguettes 🥖… The pastries and bread taste like if you were in France. And the variety of bread and pastries are amazing for a small bakery. Do not hesitate: this is the place to buy your bread 🥖 and croissants 🥐 ! You can also find delicious 🤤 donuts and pasteis de nata.

I've been visiting Marsin's for some time now, The chocolate brownies and almond croissants are to die for all accompanied by a lovely cup of coffee. Some time back, there was a lovely lady serving with a foreign accent, French I think, serving in the bakery who now appears to have left. On a recent visit however, I was served by a rather brusque and rude chap who when charging me just looked at me with no smile and just said 'seven'..... £7 he meant. No please, smile, or even thank you. Quite off putting for me and quite a contrast to the friendly affable staff at other local establishments where nothing is too much trouble. It's a shame but this experience and attitude will put put me off from using this excellent establishment again as it would any other.
