Fantastic food; proper pub grub, very generous portions & something on the menu for the fussiest eaters. Great customer service; very friendly staff & made to feel like a regular on my 1st visit. Very child-friendly; got high chairs, a kids menu & a massive beer garden. Great as a stopping off point

The landlord nick is very welcoming to all, i park my truck in the layby, always nice to have a friendly chat.

I took my friend and her daughter there, and we were not disappointed! Warm welcome, helpful staff, Jas, I think her name is. The food was delicious. Very good portion sizes too. It was very quiet, but it didn't feel isolated. Cheers Nick, we'll be back!
Popped into this little rustic place on our way back from Weymouth, was greeted by a local farmer who was sat at the Bar very friendly and welcoming we ordered a sandwich which had very generous filling, (i took half to work the next day 😁) saw what others was eating again very generous portions, lo
The owner was terrific. Very friendly, up for a chat, produced excellent meals for us, and shared his own (very good dry) cider, and others from the area. Highly recommended on your travels!
We stopped here on a MX5 owners club car run seeking food after our visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Great find. Magnificent welcome, good food with generous portions. We all enjoyed our visit. Thanks to Nick and staff. You made us feel very welcome
Superb evening meal. Nice atmosphere the meals were proper homemade pub food. Lovely staff very friendly staff. If we had know the pub quiz was happening would of stayed longer unfortnetly have to work in the morning so couldnt stay on. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pub to any one.
Fantastic! Nick and his team are hospitable, funny and cook delicious pub lunch. It's a fast road and you might miss it but you'd be missing something marvellous. Looked for a pub en-route from Ilminster to Keynsham with a mini bus full of thirsty young footballers. Fell upon the Travellers Rest and we were made more than welcome by the bar staff. Good choice of beers and a appetising menu was noted.
