The Bear inn is a great traditional village pub. There is a lovely long front bar, and a back room with darts and a pool table, there's a couple of large TVs for watching Sport. The pub has an excellent wide range of beers, lager and cider, including three cask conditioned real ales on when I called
Had a great evening in the Bear, had a good selection of hand pulled bear. Chris and Sadie were working and there hospitality was amazing, the pub had a good selection of Bar snacks. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the village.
Under new management again! Undergoing refurbishment. Casque ales are suffering, in that only one or two are on at any one time and, honestly, I've tasted better. Maybe the cellar is in a bit of disarray at the mo.
More effort at keeping the bar counter clean and dry and not sticky would help the ex
Just been renovated. Proper drinking pub. No foodie nonsense here. If you want food drink, nice atmosphere, pool and darts, give it a try. Great to see it finally doing well.
A lovely afternoon with family sat by a nice log fire. Excellent service and good atmosphere.
Really great pub and lovely staff - Gav is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet! We stopped there while hiking through and he gave us advice on the best camping spots and even offered up his beer garden. Wish we could have stuck around longer!

Great little pub staff very friendly
Hi
I have been trying to get through today on the phone but cannot seem to get an answer.
Just wanted to ask if patrons are allowed to use your carpark. My son visited on the 3rd Dec for the evening and somehow has got a parking ticket. Just wondering what the policy is for your carpark
Cheers. By t
Lovely pub with friendly staff. Strongly recommend
What a lovely evening spent at The Bear Inn, I was very impressed that I could sample the local wine from a vinyard literally a mile down the road! The owners are very friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable about the products, it always puts a smile on my face when there is good customer servi
Great selection of cask ales and lagers, friendly staff, pool, darts, large screen for sports and more in the other bar, currently has a street food van on certain nights that comes to the beer garden
Since renovation this pub has become so much more pleasant to be in. No more small dark rooms full of locals. The times I had been before did make you feel you'd walked into someone's living room uninvited. the new refurb is open plan, includes more seating and a far more functional bar makes for qu
We hosted a family gathering of around forty in the function room. It fit us all in comfortably and Gavin was a great assistance beforehand and on the day, so I would happily recommend The Bear to anyone looking to organise a meet up or simply somewhere to have a pint!
The main drinking area is comfortable with a large selection of drinks available at reasonable prices.
Toilets where clean.
Went on a sunday which meant they had a quiz going on. Did not take part in it but it's a mixture of music and general knowledge.
What a fabulous pub.. The landlord is so friendly and helpfull.. Went out of his way to help us with bus times and let us use his carpark for the day while we walked.. Excellent
Nice ‘local’ pub with good atmosphere, didn’t eat but a good selection of drinks and lots of conversation. Tip, don’t forget to give your vehicle registration number to avoid a PCN
A group of us popped in for a drink having taken a walk from the local hotel. Nice enough and beer was good. Staff pleasant.
Have just visited it for the 1st lovely friendly atmosphere ,big sport's TV at the back ,great lounge area at the front ,well worth a visit
