its a great restaurant and I highly recommend the place, clean kitchen nice open space not congested nice enough food well presented. its real food none of that fusion crap. The owners wife gets involved in researching the dishes they present in the menu. Its worth trying at least once.

We have been going there for a few years and have found the food to be consistently excellent. The manager is friendly and knowledgeable as are the waiting staff. There are two restaurants in Ocean Rd which are excellent and Monsoon is one of them. Well recommended.
As always had an excellent meal, staff are extremely friendly, polite and well mannered. Tried almost everything on the menu, staff can always explain ingredients and advise if you're not sure what to have from their menu. Look forward to our next visit.
I think the restaurant is fantastic, I was on the Blooming BBC Look North and the Daily star! Front page of the Shields gazette and I think our restaurant is best. Come and see the restaurant for your self. I promise you good food and friendly service.
Visited a few times after recommendation and can't fault. I've tried a few different meals to what I'd normally have. Staff are very friendly and happy to talk through dishes to find out what you like and recommend. A lovely little gem.
The Pathia is my all time fav and I've tried most of them in Shields. Always a friendly welcome by the staff and lovely food.

I'm celebrating my 60th birthday today and was there on Friday evening with my work mates ( 8 of us ) and everyone enjoyed their meals
I've been again tonight with 33 family members and everyone enjoyed their meals and even though there was that many of us, the service was excellent.
If you're looking for a great curry with good friendly service then give it a try
