Great local pub on the South Shields high street. Friendly service and cheap drinks.
Popped in last night and was made extremely welcome, staff are so friendly and drinks are a great price. Thank you for a fabulous evening.
We came up Sunday staying in The little Haven hotel. We had a walk and stumbled on the great friendly pub. Karaoke was on and some good singers. If your up here call in you’ll be made to feel welcome

I was well impressed with the update decor and how period features had been incorporated. I found the atmosphere to be chilled. There were several family groups and people were very relaxed with children, teens and older folks mixing. The only slight negative was, from my friend who was not impresse

Used to be a very popular pub a long time ago but it was quiet at the time we were in. Having said that it has had a refurb during the plague but still retains the proper bar feeling, very good barmaid on when we were in to add to some across the bar banter. A good pub in central location on ocean road. Pub itself is nothing fancy but staff spot on. Gentleman working there made us feel welcome with friendly banter and saw us off with an 'enjoy the rest of your night'. Its seemingly simple things that make such a difference.
Canny old school fun pub.. if you're game for a laugh this is the place for you
Loved this dog friendly pub and won't hesitate to return the next time we visit, the landlord couldn't do enough for us and we were made extremely welcome by him,his staff and the locals.
