I did however visit a petrol station nearby.
I'm sure their fish and chips are surely excellent.
Was the first food we had when we moved to Barnsley last summer, luckily round the corner from this place. Some of the best fish & chips you can get! And always a friendly encounter with the staff, the fish bits are excellent value!!

we called close to closing time just for some chips. They fried them fresh so we had to wait a little while, but when we got home they were still hot, fresh and tasty.
I always get mine delivered. In the many times that I have ordered, I've only had one disappointment which was when I received a pie that had been microwaved to death, couldn't get a knife through the top crust, other than that the food has always arrived tasty, hot and fast. Nice tasting fish & chips, good portions for the price. Staff friendly & courteous plus at closing time they sometimes wrap up their excess food up & put it in the range to keep warm while they clean up. Called in as they were closing & got fish & chips for £3!
Went here the other day the chips area solid 10/10 probably the best ive had in a while and they have such good service! It took them only around 2-3mins to gove me my order and usually i wait like 6mins at other places. This place deserves the 10/10 in all honesty.
I've been ordering from here occasionally since they refurbished the place a few years ago. This is the most consistently good fast food place of any kind that I know of. I never bought any food from here that I could really complain about. Other similar establishment are great on one day and awful

Fish and chips are lovely, some of the best in the area! Opened their pizza bar recently too, pizzas are all freshly prepared from scratch in front of you, hand rolled dough, fired in a proper pizza oven! Absolutely to die for!!!
Had a doner from here, it was perfect. Lovely meat, nicely toasted pitta and LOADS of salad, especially shredded cabbage. Just the right amount of garlic sauce and chilli sauce too. Cheers 👍🏻🙂
