This is a truly astonishing place and the full English breakfast is outstanding. 3 own make chipolata sausages. 3 rashers of own make bacon. 2 eggs from their own hens, 2 slices of their award winning black pudding and a slice of toast and butter.

I have always wanted to come into Uptons for breakfast, and I was super surprised. This was the best I have tasted for many years. The meal was reasonably priced and was complemented by a great pot of tea. There is a good vibe in the shop, and I can see why it is so popular. The cafe section is smal
Award winners and you can see why! Absolute pleasure, lovely place with very high quality food, great friendly team and lots to try! Highly recommended! Probably the best bacon and black pudding in the UK. Hope to visit again soon.
I visited Uptons of Basset today and was impressed with how they manage a unique blend of being a deli-butcher and a cafe. The homemade cured collar bacon in my bacon sandwich was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I couldn't resist taking some of their bacon, scotch egg
there isn’t a better butcher in southampton. the steak wrap is by far the best lunch option i’ve found in the area. also love their coffee before an early morning common walk.

A bit surprised at first as there were no baked beans BUT there was 3 extremely tasty chipolatas with 2 gorgeous black pudding and some of the tastiest bacon I have had anywhere I was assured that they had not hand made the eggs but they were both large

We often use Uptons for their meats, cafe and pop up nights. We have never been disappointed! The cost is higher than buying items from the supermarket but completely worth it. You can see how passionate the team are, they are always welcoming and happy to advise.
This is a truly great place. Awesome food, awesome staff and above all reasonable prices. Nothing in this place is a miss.
Just eaten a slice of rump steak from your shop. It was superb. The fat on the outside was perfect and the steak so tender. Of course my cooking helped! Far superior to any steak I’ve bought from the supermarket and I feel like I’ll never go back!
