La Tavernetta - Southampton - Photo album

Maybe one of the few “OKAY” Places around. Usually it’s bad around here. So the 4-star is only a relative to surroundings but not in general, if in Italy then it’s at most a 1 star. Chatty nice and helpful Polish waiter and waitress. Food with too much cheese and doesn’t feel cooked fresh. But it’s
This was a wonderful restaurant. We were in Southampton for tonight's, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone if you would like some comfort food meeting, pasta, pizza, a great salad, etc. The wine was great. No issues at all on that . And more importantly service was very good. They asked
We had a party of ten and were seated upstairs for a 13:00 lunch. We arrived early but the staff were lovely and accommodated us. We had starters which arrived without and delay, I had mushrooms in sauce which were lovely. The meals completely varied from risotto, oysters to steak and all came out t
This very popular place in the centre of the city was my choice for a light refreshment and a bite to eat. It’s classic Italian style decor and menu options together with the cool ceiling fans made it a refreshing change from all the burgers bars. I was served by Natalia who was pleasant and helpful
Last minute decision to have a meal with my friend here. He’d recommended it having been before but it was a first for me. I was particularly impressed with the service, the lovely waiting staff a real class act. We were in a chatty mood and took a while to order in all honesty but they were very pa
Great food, quiet friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, everything you could ask for really!
Wonderful place. One of the most amazing bread and pizza base I've had in a long time. Soft with a bit of crispiness. Pasta was delicious. Service was alright and the place can be slightly cramped but very cosy.
Extremely delicious food, mostly the pasta selection. Polite staff and lovely atmosphere as well. I highly recommend their Carbonarra and Gnocchi formachi. Also, they have a separate menu with specialties for the day, which is good to take a look at.
Excellent Italian restaurant in Southampton City Centre. This is my wife’s favourite restaurant and we had another lovely meal. Peter and all of the staff were excellent as always. Great choice of food and drinks and always cooked and presented perfectly. Nothing ever too much trouble and good value
Amazing and lovely restaurant. Been going to the place for years. Both my partner and I don't really go anywhere else when we eat out. The staff are always welcoming and kind. I have also taken my 2 young children there as well, great with children. Couldn't fault the food at all! It's based in a ni
The best Italian cuisine in Southampton... we organised birthday party in La Tavernetta and both food and service were excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant for really tasty food and intimate atmosphere
I was a bit reluctant to try La Tavernetta at first as there were other Italian restaurants around I'd rather try first. However I'm quite pleased my mates and I decided to have lunch here. From the start, staff were very friendly and welcoming. They allowed us in despite turning up 10 minutes earl
Popped in (not for the first time) on way to the football. Luckily had a table. Great lunch. Have to say the mussels on special were the best I've had in a long time. If they're going to be that good, get it on the menu as a regular rather than special.
Lovely food, friendly staff, quick service.....we had no reservations yet got a table😊
Great food, lovely staff and a fabulous atmosphere. An absolute find! The Chefs Specials are worthy of the name and if they don't have your preferred pizza they will happily make one with whatever toppings you wish (if available, obviously!)
Superb tapas. Not keen on the high chairs, not comfy. Great staff, friendly. Reasonable prices.
