Wonderful place to visit! It's a very nice spacious garden centre. Huge variety of both outdoor and indoor plants. Got some nice terracota pots. Personally, I loved the selection of cacti. They have some nice succulents and lithtops too! Prices are a bit high but not too bad.
The cafe/ restaurant is spacious and clean. Wonderful selection of cakes. I recommend the black forest slice cake. It was moist, chocolatey and not too sweet. They sell Costa coffee in the cafe. For 2 ices of cake and 2 cappuccinos we paid £17.
Overall, it was a very pleasant day we spent there. I recommend you visit Haskins if you like plants and cakes!
Popped into Haskins garden centre yesterday for a spot of lunch which was lovely tbh I would advise to get there early as it does get busy especially if you are wanting a Sunday roast dinner just let you know that the Christmas 🎄 shop is now open too .
They have really nice things in there, especially at Christmas time and in their restaurant afternoon teas there are highly recommended and reasonable price. The Scones are really delicious and tasty. All different kind of flavour scones and plain as well. They have an amazing selection of cakes and really good portions. Highly recommended
This is a quite astonishing venue. It is like a football ground with a roof... amazing size, but retaining a comfortable feel.
I'm not sure of the capacity in the restaurant, but I'm sure it will comfortably accommodate 300+ seated customers. Reasonable prices for food and non alcoholic drinks...not sure about alcohol prices?
Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.
One word of caution. Getting out of the car park can mean a 6-10 minute queue time!!!
Haskins is an absolute delight to walk into at the moment. The Christmas displays are beautiful and there is so much choice of Christmas decorations and goodies. Loved it!
Treated ourselves to an enormous cake and coffee.
I expected the centre to be cold, but it was cosy and warm.
Went to the restaurant for lunch. Chose tuna sandwiches, wasn't impressed by finding capers inside (had to pick them all out). Signage said tuna, nothing else. Why spoil a perfectly sandwich by adding those. Toilets were dirty, I mean floors & toilet bowl was black. Need some proper toilet cleaner down it. Also push button was broken 🙄.
unlimited car parking time. Products are placed very well and very organized. The plants and the garden are amazing. Easily get relaxed during browsing. Fresh and hot food, pizza baked with real fire, yummy.
Best place for your garden…. Affordable prices.☘️🪴🎄🌿
Haskins is a beautiful local garden centre. The store is so big, it is easy to browse for an hour or two, especially if you also stop for a bite to eat. I’ve been a few times and the food options can be unclear i.e not stating toasted sandwiches also come with chips and salad, and not letting us know they had run out of jacket potatoes but the food is always delicious. At busy times, it can also be a bit of a wait to order drinks and pay. Overall, it’s a really lovely place to go spend a few hours relaxing. The store is far from just indoor and outdoor plants with garden furniture and accessories, outdoor clothing, books, toys, cards and gift options. Plus it’s amazing to visit when decorated for Christmas.
Ate on a Sunday at the tail end of breakfast so food was a bit cold / chewy. Would love to return to try the carvery. Garden centre absolutely amazing so have given 5 stars. Hobbycraft great toplo.
