The food is great. Chips are tasty and the cod is good with crispy batter. I try not to get a chippy tea too often but when I do I come here.
Great stuff
Edit: the place has recently been taken over but IMHO it's still a top chippie to visit. The chips are good, the cod I had last night was really tasty, crispy where it counts, soft and tender where it needed to be.
Great stuff.

The shop is under new management and fish and chips still remain very tasty and fresh. Highly recommended to anyone.

This outlet has now changed hands so this review not relevant The fish is cooked while you wait and therefore tastes fresh and delicious. The chips are some of the best in Southampton. All at pretty reasonable prices.

As soon as you go in you know it's going to be good fish & chips. The shop is packed with customers. The place is clean and the aroma is delicious. There are three active and busy staff behind the counter who serve customers quickly and pleasantly. The fish is cooked to order, so there is a little wait, but it's worth it as the fish is soft and fresh and melts in the mouth beneath crisp, crunchy, clean tasting batter. Prices are standard - and there's a good range of chip portions and fish sizes to suit different budgets and appetites. There's a selection of veggie options. Kiddies meals. Various fritters - banana, mushy pea, etc. And even deep fried Mars Bars. Fish and chips were served fresh and hot, and put into a heat retaining paper bag - my only complaint is that this wasn't quite large enough, so was open at the top.

Best Chippy in the city!
I've lived all over Southampton and will always come to Woolston to get fish and chips here. Fantastic value and portions. Never had bad food from here. Recommended!

This place is simply the best. Absolutely massive portions very reasonably priced. A large chips is enough for two adults and 1 child. The fish is the size of a small cruise liner too, can probably share that too but I'm too greedy for that.

Best Fish and Chip shop in Southampton. Have tried others but always come back. Reasonable prices, good selection and perfect batter! Should enter a national competition as would be up there with the best. Well recommended.

Fantastic local chippy. Since moving here I buy a small chips from them 2 or 3 times a week. Friendly staff and the chips are great value for money. A small chips costs £1.25 and when placed on a dinner plate, you could fit nothing else on there.

Good food, generous portions and fair prices. Sometimes the chips can be a bit off but overall 5 star most of the time it’s great.

Mine and my daughter's favourite fish and chips. The best around beats every other place we've tried. Fish is always fresh and big portions.

Really nice fish and chips, perhaps a bit pricy but still tasty

The best place for fish and chips in Woolston in my view, never had bad food from here, and recommend the haddock if you don’t mind waiting, you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful cooked fish..
