Great pub on the same site as the not much missed Chalk Valley pub. Same layout as the old pub, two rooms with the bar in the right hand side as you walk in. Four handpumps which aren't all used all week, only two on when I visited but this was a Tuesday night

Always a dark ale on. Friendly staff. Beer sold in thirds, halves and pints! A must to visit in London Road. Good choice of food too!
