Big George's Fish Bar - Southampton - Photo album

I recently moved to Southampton and have been eating at different fish and chips within the area to try to find something that reminds me of my favourite chippy from home, after quite a few, I found this is the one. The jumbo cheeseburger they do is the perfect temperature and is absolutely deliciou
Big George's is a great place for a cheeky lunch or evening meal when you fancy some fish and chips, kebabs, burgers or even a sausage. The main man behind the counter i think was George and he was great. He gave us so much food, it was unbelievable! If you view some images you will see the size of
The food is great. Portions are generous and the fish is very good. Prices are ok too. I'd recommend ordering in store as we had a long wait for delivery.
I didn't think the chips were very good and the pea fritter wasn't very good .It's certainly not as good as when Big George was there .
Great value lovely fish massive portion of chips.
The best portion size in Southampton and at a really decent price too! The small chips here is like an extra large chips at other Fish and Chip shops and the Large Cod is Larger than a plate! Lots of places to park around the area too, so it's no hassle! They have a comfortable sofa that customers c
Excellent as always. No waiting around. Lovely chips everytime. Lots of them. Good quality food. Probably the best chip around in Southampton 👍
Just had two large cod and chips today ....... Absolutely excellent : Great value: highly recommended .
Love this place been going here since I was a child. Great value for money. Super cheap takeaway for families on a budget. Staff are friendly. One downfall is They only take cash here. The fish is huge and cooked beautifully. Chips are always good and there is always plenty of batter around the saus
Big Georges is the best fish and chip shop in Southampton by miles Kebabs are amazing Value for money is amazing Quality of the food is excellent I would not bother going anywhere else you would be disappointed after going to big Georges there is no comparison
Food is always great here - but they had no pea fritters and didn't put our drinks in on this occasion
Sausage in batter and chips. Loads of freshly cooked chips and the battered sausage wasn't too greasy. Very enjoyable. No card facility which nearly caught me out. Overall I will continue to use Big George's.
A great Chippy with reasonable prices.
Always great fish n chips, value and portion size. Never had a bad meal from them in the near 7 years we've been going.
