It’s a large pub restaurant at the top of Highfield Lane. Car park at the front with a decking area.
The pub inside is large with a variety of seating options. It’s also a good place for the Sunshine!
It has a brewery on site and lots of other choices on tap and in the fridge.
To the rear is a large garden area. Again with scoop back chairs, tables and benches for eating, and most of all four beautiful beach huts!
In the evening there’s mini light bulbs and a large wood burning font.
There’s a large menu which can order from your table via a QR code.
Staff are friendly and helpful and I would recommend this place whatever the occasion.
I had the Sunday roast chicken and it was very tasty. The beer was amazing. It is a beautiful place with nice food and drink (beer) so I can definitely recommend.
I don't have a dog but I can ensure you it is a dog friendly place.
My best experience 'on the Trail' in Southampton so far. Rather than the ubiquitous Doombar, sometimes the ONLY offering, here there was a good range of craft ales to choose from.
Potentially these were all readily offered, in sampler glasses on a try-before-you-buy basis, just as they should be. The Front of House staff clearly well trained in customer focus.
The certificate was easily available for scanning and not hidden away behind doors or ornaments.
As in all venues of this 22 branch estate, there is an eclectic menu to choose from, the Sunday Roast being competitively priced even compared to Wetherspoons - and on that subject, without being too sniffy about it, B&K seem to attract a more genteel patronage.
We called in to get something to eat today. We all had the roast pork Sunday dinner which was delicious. Everyone commented that the vegetables were particularly full of flavour. I want to also thank the lovely staff as I stupidly left my phone and purse behind. They thankfully found it and kept it safe for me. I am so grateful to them for this.
Been here during the day and in the evening on a few occasions. Nice atmosphere, family friendly and dog friendly! Drinks are a bit more expensive than some other places in southampton, but fairly standard price compared to other southern regions. The back garden is really nice too, so if the weather is nice it's ideal for an afternoon or evening drink.
Spent the afternoon here on a Gin tasting masterclass… brilliant fun! Our host (Ben) was excellent, very knowledgable and engaging, despite being a bit under the weather on the day. We got to try some really interesting Gins and learned a lot about the history of Gin and how it is made. Being a microbrewery they also do a Beer tasting masterclass which is very much on my to do list now. Great place and a great experience, 100% recommended !
