Had a fantastic first visit here with friends. Food is exceptional and authentic. Vanessa, our server, was lovely, discreetly checking on us periodically to make sure that our experience was the best. The atmosphere was only slightly less than it might have been as the restaurant was fairly empty. To be fair, whenever I've passed by before, in recent weeks, it's been heaving!
My sister and I visited before attending a nearby concert and were blown away with the service and lovely tapas. The lovely Portuguese staff were immediately chatty, compliments and very friendly and our visit started our evening perfectly. Beautifully decorated and a lovely selection of European lagers and and a comprehensive spirit selection. Will make this a regular stop!

Came in for an early dinner. The food was exceptional as was the service. Prices a little on the high side (Β£5.95 for bread) but the octopus was perfect. Will definitely be back.
Lovely restaurant and bar. The decor is really nice, and the food and service is top notch. Taberna13 is real hidden gem, and probably one of the best restaurants I've visited in Southampton. The staff are very friendly and the service is great, and the food - the most important part - is superb. Never visited a Portuguese restaurant before Taberna13 but I was very impressed. They also have a nice selection of beers. Will visit again.

Food was great, pork and cheese croquettes with lovely bread and olives to start, pork and clams for me as a main, my wife had grilled chicken and polenta with sweet potato fries.
We finished up with custard tarts and espresso.

I've been wanting to travel to Portugal for the food since my last visit to Lisbon in 2017 and Taberna13 did not fail to bring me back. A recently opened restaurant, Taberna13 is truly worth a visit. Staff were friendly and the food was nothing short of amazing. The bacalau was soft and flaky and seasoned perfectly- seemed as if the cod was caught that very moment as it was that fresh. The Coxinha was crispy on the outside with a flavourful, meaty filling. Even if it wasn't on the menu, they do a lovely side of chips as well. Lastly, their caramelised custard pie didn't disappoint either and left me wanting more.
Although a bit pricey, overall, I'm very glad there's an authentic Portuguese down the road from my house. Will definitely be back again in the future.

Authentic portuguese dishes including Salted Cod fish and Grilled Octopus are fabulous.
For dessert, must try portuguese custard tart (Pastel de nata ), very delicious and full of surprise.
passion fruit pudding is also good.

It was the second time we came here, we live an hour driving away from Southampton but it doesn't disappoint.

Probably one of the best Portuguese tapa bars outside Portugal. The food is just amazing and tasty. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is so inviting.

Amazing place, fully renovated and food is simply amazing. Authentic Pastel de Bacalhau and Portuguese food! We ordered Bacalhau Lagareiro, Polvo Lagareiro and Arroz Polvo. Fully recommended!
