Possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Fresh fish fried to perfection and portion was massive. The tartare sauce pairs well with it and there was a generous amount (from a squeeze bottle). Accepts cash only, you must go!

Amazing value for money £8.95 for a medium cod and chips (which was HUGE) salad, bread and butter, mushy peas or curry sauce and a soft drink. All cooked fresh with fast and friendly service. Only thing being the decor could be updated.

We had the small meals, which come with a drink, plus bread and butter, side salad and either mushy peas or curry sauce. This was in the restaurant. For cod or rock and chips, this was £6.95 each and was quite filling. The service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend it.

Henry and his beautiful wife are divine. I come down from London regularly and I go to see them as much as possible. Their food is wonderful. Sums them up perfectly. They are a fantastic team. I love them and Southend. Trust me their fish n chips and all they cook is the best in Southend.
